So i I found a little nest the significance of which is the olive colored eggs are from chickens we raised that we cross bred. Those chickens then hatched a nest of mix breed chicks that are the Cornish (brown egg layer) crossed with Americana (blue egg layer) and that cross is called Olive Eggers because blue and brown make olive. We have adult laying hens and adult roosters that we raised from our flock that we purchased and we know our flock is growing with each new generation. Are Cuckoo Marans which they are selling chicks on Craigslist for $8 each. Iam not a huge suporter of Tractor Supply because they put our hone town feed stores out if buisness and when there is a hiccup in their financial situation and Tractor Supply closes what am I going to do? We need a feed store and I will always support home town local owned operated because in any disaster local will stick it out, they are there for you because they are you. But all that said and Tractor supply is the only close place to get a garden cart and with the recent flooding we cant manage the drive and have to carry everything from the road to the house because the bearings went out in my cart. We tried to replace the bearings but they wont come out of the tires. π£ So spent the money with Tractor supply for a cart and they had Cuckoo Matan chicks that are a week old and new chicks being delivered tomorrow so they are selling these for $1 each!!! Yay!! I wanted some but couldn't pay $8 a chick.
