“I dunno... My dad seems upset with me. He... He just-- I told him I wanted to grow up to be in the JSA like him... I don’t think I’ve ever seen him look so...?” She looks upset, like this might be one of the most upsetting things she’s ever had to deal with. Well, of course... it was. She wanted to be just like her father the biggest hero in her life and her eyes. “Sorry... this is boring, I bet, do you wanna go play some video games or something?”

“So, honestly, Uncle Kent... you know I trust you more than, pretty much anyone in the world. ...you think dad’s ever gonna stop treating me like a child? Between the whole flipping out about me wanting to bear the Wildcat mantle and well... you know how feels about me and Khalid... ... it’s...” She sighs looking at the older man. The JSA was always family to her- and the Nelsons were the two that she always felt the closest to. Other than her father of course, but? There was always going to be things she couldn’t talk to him about. “... he worries too much.”

“Okay, look, I’m sure this is really professional of me but, like... what’s the robot’s name, it’s adorable and-- no offense to you, Booster, but I would destroy any and everybody who would even think of hurting it.” She clasps her hands together, smiling brightly.

“Oh, yeah? That’s what that means? I’m a kid, but I’m not stupid, mister… My papa’s a good person– which seems like more than I can say for you.” Her face stays neutral as she watches Billy, clearly not amused by his bullshit. That’s where she makes her mistake– she turns her back to him to walk away.

“Uncle Kent... will you and Inza teach me some magic someday?” She held onto his leg with a soft little noise, looking up at him. She loved spending time with Kent and Inza, quite possibly? They were her two favourites to spend time with in the JSA. ... well, perhaps next to Uncle Alan and Uncle Jay. “Please????”

“So, yeah... since everything looks like it’s taken care of here... I guess I’m just gonna bounce.” It felt bad-- all of this felt bad. She may not have had those nine lives like her father, but she sure as hell got enough of his instincts to feel when something shouldn’t sit right. She wasn’t close to this other guy who showed up, sure she’d heard of him... who hadn’t? But that didn’t mean that being there around him, and feeling that energy her projected first hand, wasn’t something she picked up on easy. Maybe she could understand why there was those guys she’d heard about picking off people with powers. Then again? Was it wrong with her to feel that way when she literally just showed up and saw him finishing things up. ... guess she didn’t expect things to... look like this was a bit beyond her scope of things.

“Papa... will you please give me a lesson? Pleeeease papa?” She pouts her lips as she looks up at Ted, giving him the most pathetic looks she can muster with those big blue eyes. “You know I wanna be just like you when I grow up...”
