Jenna didn’t know how long she had been sitting on the steps of the frat house waiting for Drew to pull up. Her head was pounding, and she was honestly ready to get in the car and get away from the party. It had been a particularly long night. After Luke left, she had gotten a text from a friend about the party and she had went, not expecting to be out all night. But it was fun, and she enjoyed herself so she wasn’t going to complain. The only thing she was complaining about was her hangover and her lack of advil. Her mind kept going back to what she had done with Luke, it was stupid and reckless, but she didn’t care. Honestly...she didn’t care about much these days, she wasn’t thinking clearly most days.
She winced when she heard the honk of the horn and saw Drew’s car. She grabbed her bag and got up, walking over ot the car, she slid in and rested her head back, closing her eyes. “You took forever,” she commented as she got herself comfortable. Even though she gave Drew a hard time, she loved him, and was thankful for him, but sometimes it was just easier to be difficult. “Do you have anything for a hangover?” She asked, starting to go through his glove compartment, in search of something.

time: the night of frankie’s car crash
place: the hospital
characters: drew torres, sadie rowland, jenna middleton, mike dallas, luke baker
synopsis: the wild ones come together for frankie’s sake but tension builds and they all end up taking a ride in the back of a police car
"Finally.", Dallas said to himself as he arrived at the hospital. Although he knew he probably wasn't the first one here, he wanted to make sure his younger friend was alright, or alright as she could be when involved in a car accident. He still couldn't understand /why/ she'd do something like this, but right now that was neither here nor there. After asking the doctor about Frankie and where the waiting room was, he headed through the door, offering his apologies to the Hollingsworth family and trying to find anyone else he knew.
Drew sat in the waiting room, his hood still over his head, tired of waiting around for news and not in the mood to put on a smile for the younger girls parents. Drew sighed as he stood up to go grab a coffee to keep him up until the doctor might come back out with news of what might be wrong with his friend.
Jenna walked into the hospital, she hated hospitals. She had ever since her mom died, and everything with Frankie was bringing back all of those memories, but she was trying to push that down and be strong. She asked a nurse about where Frankie's room was and made her way up to it, giving Mr. and Mrs. Hollingsworth a small smile and then looked over at Dallas. "Hey," she said softly, giving him a quick hug.
Luke had been sitting in the waiting room for what seemed like hours after Jenna had texted him. However, the Hollingsworth having known his apparent "bad" influence on their daughter had tried to get him to leave every other minute. When he returned from his five minute get away he noticed right away his group huddling together, yet he moved right to Drew who sat beside himself. "Hey," he spoke in a hushed tone. "The doctor come out yet?"
Sadie put out her cigarette before walking inside the hospital, the heat of the building instantly warming up her entire body. Her mascara was running and her cheeks were flushed since she'd been crying ever since she heard the news about Frankie. After talking to a woman at the front desk who guided her to the waiting area, she walked over to see several familiar faces gathered. It was surprising at first considering their group of friends hadn't exactly been as strong as it once was but when something drastic went down, they all knew they could count on each other no matter what. Noticing Drew and Luke sitting with each other and Jenna and Dallas doing the same, Sadie crossed her arms and took the first empty seat she could find, keeping to herself as she tapped her foot.
Dallas hugged Jenna back quickly with a small smile. "Hey. You alright?", he asked her. He knew that wasn't really something that he needed to ask since he knew the answer, but still. He took a seat and looked around, watching his friends come in droves. "Her folks didn't tell me anything, like an update or whatever, what about you?"
Drew looked over at Luke giving him a smile. "Good to see you," he shrugged "Not since I've been here," he took a sip of his coffee. He noticed Sadie walk in, making his stomach hurt a bit but he just pulled out his phone trying to find something to keep himself busy. "I can't believe she did something this stupid," he commented to the blonde sitting next to him as he set his phone down to look over at him. "Why didn't anyone try and stop her?" he asked him. "She can't even drive yet."
Luke looked up to his group of friends, noticing Drew's hesitance. "You can't avoid them forever, man. They're your friends and if the rumors are true... you can't avoid talking to Sadie or Dallas either," he shrugged. He wasn't one to get involved in the inner-clique drama, but as of right now it was pulling them away when they needed to come together for Frankie. "We all did. I told her to not drive unless one of us was with her. Dallas told her not at all and I'm pretty sure the girls said the same. She was hell bent on driving," he explained.
Jenna looked over at Drew, Sadie and Luke and gave them a small smile. She shrugged when Dallas hugged her and asked her if she was okay. "I'm better than Frankie," She said softly, looking down. She shook her head. "No...they haven't said anything to me either...I have no idea what's' going on." She frowned. "They probably don't want us here," she rolled her eyes.
Drew looked over at Luke. "I'm not avoiding anyone," he said keeping his eyes on the coffee. Hearing Luke bring up Sadie and Dallas made his head turn to him, "Don't go there." He told him before standing up, "I could careless what those two do or don't do." He noticed Jenna smile at him and sighed before returning it. "I gotta get some air," he told Luke, walking to the exit for a minute.
Sadie was silently drowning in guilt as she watched the others talk about what happened. She was the only one who actually encouraged Frankie to continue her late night driving and even suggested the two of them go together next time. Had she'd known Frankie would've ended up in this condition, she would've put a stop to it right away. Chewing her nails continuously, she tried to change her thought process but all she kept doing was blaming herself. Immediately lifting her head up when Drew walked towards the exit, she debated whether or not to follow him.
"This sucks,” Dallas groaned as he leaned back in his seat. The waiting for what was going on with Frankie was killing him. He shot her parents an eyeroll and he knew that none of them were on their welcome list. "We're not doing anything, we're her friends, we're allowed to be here." Dallas looked up at Drew, deciding to stand up and go follow him. "Dude wait up.", he said calmly to Drew.
"You're glued to the coffee cup," Luke pointed out. He rolled his eyes once Drew became defensive. This was not the time to be walking away from things. Luke moved over towards Sadie, noticing her look towards Drew. "Don't go after him," he commented. Luke shook his head watching Dallas going after. "Did you talk to Frankie before the crash? I told her not to go without any of us, but... I didn't think she'd be this careless to do it alone or this late."
Jenna nodded her head. "I know," She sighed, looking down. "I hate hospitals," she said. She nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah, I know, who cares what they think," She said, rolling her eyes. She got up when Dallas went over to Drew, and she went over to Sadie and Luke and just sat down, not really knowing what to do with herself. She checked the time and then looked back at Frankie's door. What was taking so long?
Drew looked back, slowing down for the other boy he stopped just outside the doors leaning on the wall. "What's up?" he smiled for the other boy. Drew wasn't sure what he felt about the rumors about his friend and the other girl, but that didn't mean he was going to shut out Dallas right now. "Not exactly how that hang out was supposed to go," he laughed pulling out his cigarette pack as he grabbed one and lit it up. Drew took a drag, waiting to see just how his friend would act after the time Drew had taken for himself.
Sadie almost didn't realize Luke moving to sit by her since she was so wrapped up in her own thoughts. When Dallas decided to follow Drew, she knew that it was better off leaving the two of them alone. When Luke began to question Sadie about their youngest friend, she felt a lump begin to grow in the back of her throat. "Uh, no. I didn't talk to her," the brunette lied, now chewing on her bottom lip.
Luke raised an eyebrow at Sadie's comment, but didn't respond any further. "She didn't talk to anyone before going out tonight? That's not like her," Luke sighed. He just wanted his best friend to be okay. If he hadn't been so wrapped up in his own home drama he could have been there protecting her. Luke looked to Jenna with smile. What was he supposed to say at a time like this?
Dallas caught up to Dallas, catching his breath slowly. "You for one. Just because her parents are jerks doesn't mean you have to leave you know." He wasn't sure how he was supposed to act right now with how things were, but right now wasn't the time for them to fight. "Hey, at least we're all here and we made it. We're all friends here, that's just what we do."
Jenna looked at her two friends and sighed. She returned Luke's smile and reached over, taking his hand for a second, she squeezed it gently, wanting to tell him it was going to be okay. "I think she knew that we didn't approve of what she was doing," Jenna spoke up. "I made her promise not to do it anymore. Obviously...she didn't listen," She sighed. "I wish she had."
Drew turned his head confused. "I just stepped out for a smoke man," he told him as he let out the smoke from his mouth. "Her parents don't bother me," he told him. "No parents really do," he shrugged, pulling out a flask and holding it out to Dallas. "I'm surprised you let them get to you actually," he smirked, shaking his head as he took a swig from the flask. "Yeah we're all friends," Drew agreed, looking at Dallas and wanting to ask about the rumors, but taking another drag from the cigarette instead.
Dallas furrowed his brows slightly. "Oh, I just thought you...nevermind.", he said with a shake of his head. He wanted to ask for a smoke, but for Rocky's sake he'd sworn off cigarettes or weed for the time being. He did take the flask however, and took a small sip. "Yeah, well not every parent has a security team that could escort us out if they wanted. Money talks, man.", he joked. After taking one more sip, he handed it back to Drew and leaned against the wall. "How are you doing though man? With everything."
Drew laughed. "I'd like to see them pull me out before I hear if she's okay or not," he told Dallas before letting the smoke up into the air. Drew wondered if her parents would really make a scene with them seeing as her own brothers weren't even here yet. Drew took another swig as Dallas passed back the flask. "I'm doing just great," he lied through his teeth as he took another long drag. "I mean that Zoe thing was shit and Vince seems to be busy about to be a dad to even bother with me," he told Dallas. "And you?"
Luke looked down at Jenna's hand in his."She's gonna be all right," he spoke trying to comfort her. "The fact that she's here should be a good sign. She's gonna pull through," he spoke, yet he couldn't decide if he was trying to convince Jenna or more himself. "She'll be okay," he repeated.
"You against an entire bodyguard service? I'll take you everyday of the week on that bet.", he laughed. He studied Drew's expressions as he spoke, wondering how much was the truth and how much was lie, but he decided to simply nod. What did catch him off guard was Vince being a father. "Whoa, he's about to be a dad? With..", he paused, connecting the dots. "Uh, alright I guess. That's none of my business with Vince..but anyway.", he sighed. "I'm just trying to be a dad, for real."
Jenna gave him a small smile. "I know," She said softly, nodding her head. "I know she's going to be okay...Frankie’s so damn stubborn...she's going to pull through this...and it's going to be fine," she whispered. She rested her head against his shoulder, listening to him repeat that she was going to be okay, wanting to believe it desperately.
Drew laughed as Dallas told him he believed that Drew could take on the bodyguard team. "Not to brag or anything," he looked at Dallas wondering how they had gotten here. How had his whole world turned on its had in such a short time, feeling the cold creeping in his heart dragging him further down. Drew was surprised to see Dallas so shocked and wondered if Vanessa would forgive him for his mistake. "Dal," he said, unsure what to say to his friend. Drew knew Dallas wasn't stupid and would figure it was Vanessa without him saying so. "Keep your head up man," Drew grinned, patting his back. He didn't want to have anymore heart to heart afraid that Sadie might come up. "Let's get back to everyone.”
Sadie didn't respond to Luke's words and simply kept to herself, not wanting to risk spilling the truth, knowing that would be the last thing the group needed to hear right now. Trying to stop thinking about it, she was going to head outside and talk to Drew and Dallas but noticed the two boys coming back inside. As she bumped into them, she slowly backed away and looked at them awkwardly. "Hi," she finally said, that being the first word she had said to both of them all evening.
Dallas shook his head slightly. "It's cool. Right now, I just need to focus on Rocky. Everything else can wait.", he admitted. The thought crossed his mind to be more upset about the Vanessa thing, but with how things were, it was someone else's issue now. All he could do was hope for the best. The thought of Sadie crossed his mind, but only for a moment. Dallas didn't consider what he was doing with her was wrong, but with the rumors, he wasn't sure what type of reaction Drew would have. "You're right, let's go. They probably have an update too." The pair headed back inside, bumping into Sadie before they could reach the others. Instead of making things weird, Dallas decided to act normal. "Hey. Any word yet?", he asked her.
Drew nodded knowing this couldn't be all he felt, but he wouldn't know what it was to choose between the girl or his son. He walked with Dallas, surprised when the small girl ran into both of them. He wasn't sure what to say as he looked between Dallas and Sadie now. He wanted to scream stuck between them pretending everything was okay. "Hey," he placed his hand on her shoulder. "She'll be okay," he placed his best smile before walking past her, finding Luke and Jenna.
Luke still held onto Jenna's hand not really looking towards anything but Frankie's door. If the love triangle outside wanted to keep bickering that was their business. He needed Frankie to be okay, but when he saw Drew walking towards them he shook his head. He leaned over to Jenna whispering," You don't do something I will. This shit is getting old."
Jenna looked over at him and then back at the door, she just wanted this all to be over with, she wanted Frankie to tell them that she was fine, and that this was all some...messed up joke or something. But she knew that wouldn't happen. She sighed. "I don't know what to do, but this is all getting so old," She agreed. "Any ideas...on how to fix this?"
Drew looked at Luke watching him whisper to Jenna as he rolled his eyes. He took a seat by Jenna. "Tell your boyfriend to chill out I'm fine and I'm here for Franks," he sighed, sitting back. Drew might not want to be here but that was the point of being friends and sticking together. Wild Ones or not this is just who they were and nothing was changing that for him.
Sadie knew right away that something was off with Drew. Dallas was acting normal so she wouldn't think he would've told Drew about their recent hookup. But even if he did, Drew really had no right to be angry. "No news is good news, right?" The brunette replied with a light smirk. She heard Drew's voice raise to Jenna and Luke and didn't like where things were heading. "Is it just me or does he seem more moody than usual?" Sadie questioned to Dallas as she eyed the boy.
Dallas shrugged slightly. "Yeah I guess. The wait's just killer. I'm starving too." Dallas watched him walk past Sadie quickly and he couldn't do anything but furrow his brows, slightly confused. "I know what you mean. At least he's not breaking limbs.", he joked to Sadie as he folded his arms and leaned against the wall. "Are you ok though?", he asked her.
Jenna knew that things were really...off in the group lately, but she had been hoping that things would go back to how they used to be. She knew that sometimes things like this was what they needed to put their differences aside, but she wasn't sure. "Nobody said you couldn't be here," she said, looking over at Drew. "I'm glad that you're here," she said, glancing at Sadie and Dallas.
Drew looked at the door waiting for the doctor to just come out already. "Why did this kid have to go and do something stupid?" he sighed. Drew smiled over at Jenna. "So you missed me," he wanted to focus on anything but the waiting at this point. "I have a joint if you and Luke want to ease the tension," he offered her. Drew just wanted to go back to how things used to be long before even Vanessa left.
Luke rolled his eyes at Drew's comment," At least when I'm messing with soeone they're only messing with /me/." He somewhat wished all three of them would leave, but right now they needed to stick together. They were friends no matter how annoyed he was getting with all of them.
Drew glared at Luke. “Sleeping with someone on a whim isn't a commitment," he hissed at Luke. Drew wanted to get up and walk away but sighed, "I don't care what they do, okay?" He shrugged, "It's not like I didn't fuck other girls." He looked away and mumbled.
Sadie simply nodded. She didn't want to say anything because she was tired of lying to people who were supposed to be her friends but she felt like she didn't have any other choice at this point. "What about you? How're you holding up?" She returned the question, knowing things were difficult at home for Dallas lately and this current situation probably wasn't making anything better. But as soon as she said that, she heard Luke's reply to Drew and shot him a cold stare and just when she going to chime in, Drew had a reply all of his own. "Can you two stop it? Now is not the time or place," she said in a low voice as she walked over to them.
"Says the guy swapping spit with half of Toronto," Luke responded unbothered. It wasn't anyone's business what was going on with him and Jenna. He looked to her slightly remembering he was saying all of this in front of her. He gave her apologetic eyes, but was too prideful to apologize. Drew did have a point. Luke wasn't committed to Jenna nor was what was going on between them anything but because of a whim decision. Luke looked up to Sadie finally saying something to him. "I could ask you the same question. Are you and your bud done with whatever it is you're doing so we can actually worry about our friend? Or are all of your mouths too full of each other to have told Frankie not to do this?" He spoke standing up in front of Sadie.
Dallas let the nod slide, having a feeling it wasn't the whole truth. "I'm alright. Some distraction though eh?" He looked toward Drew and Luke, and while he wanted to bit his tongue, Luke's comments made him roll his eyes. "Are you guys serious right now? You really wanna do this, here? Now?", he asked them, making them aware of Frankie's situation. "And I don't even see what the big deal is anyway."
Jenna shot them both a look. "Drew, it's not any of your business," She said. She looked at Luke and gave him a small smile, not really bothered by what he said because it was true. She hated how all of a sudden everyone was arguing. "Can't we all just get along for right now? Please? This stuff all doesn't matter right now, Frankie does."
Drew looked at Luke. "Luke you better shut up right now," he stood up, getting sick of his friends. "I don't know how many times i have to say I don't care before you shut up," he barked out at him. "Rumor or truth I could careless if Dallas wants my old toys," he pushed his hands into his pockets, turning away from Luke. "For the record I didn't bring this shit up Luke," he walked away, his eyes meeting Sadie’s, causing him to look away, not about to look weak. He took a seat as far from the rest of them knowing he shouldn't have come to start with.
Luke laughed," Or else what? You're gonna break my arm like you did Bell's? Do it." He didn't mean for this to happen, but Luke was just defensive when it came to what was going on with Jenna and him. If Drew wouldn't had made the 'boyfriend' comment, they'd all be fine. "Maybe if you learned to mind your own business I wouldn't have brought it up," Luke shrugged. He had totally closed out Sadie and Dallas, not caring too much about what they had to say at this point. He didn't care what any of them had to say. Luke stood up, going towards Frankie's door. He looked at her lying there, ignoring the Wild Ones behind him.
Sadie noticed the five of them all arguing as the situation became more heated. Hateful words continued to spew from their mouths and just as Drew walked away, a man in a police uniform approached the group. "Hey, excuse me? I have to get to the bottom of something here," the man said. "I'm Detective Collins," he began, holding up his badge. "I've been assigned to investigate what happened to your friend, Francesca. Since she is a minor, her parents have total control of what happens to her and who has access to visit her. Mr. and Mrs. Hollingsworth have both agreed that they do not want any of you within fifty feet of Frankie until further notice. If you violate these terms, we have the right to hold you in our cells for up to 72 hours," he explained, making eye contact with each person. "Now, before you all go I need to speak with one of you. Who is Sadie Rowland?" The detective asked and instantly Sadie stopped breathing. "That's me," she admitted, swallowing hard but her throat remained dry. "You were the last person to speak to Francesca before she crashed. We're going to need to you to come downtown with us."
Drew looked at the police, clenching his fist as he glared at the floor then at Luke. He listened to the man say he was going to be taking Sadie, confused as to what they could want. "What did you do?" he questioned but shook his head standing up. "She needs a lawyer or her parents since she's a minor," he stood between her and the cop and sighed. Drew turned to her. "Call my dad," he handed her his phone. "He'll get this sorted out for you," Drew kept his eyes away from her waiting for her to take the phone so he could leave once she called his father.
Dallas simply let the scene play out. Of course the comment about 'old toys' made him grit his teeth slightly, but he still didn't see why he was being such a baby. No one was dating, so if he wanted to fool around with Sadie, who was Drew or anyone to tell him no? Before he could save Luke from having a trip to a hospital room down the hall, a policeman walked up to them. He had an encounter with police recently, so he was worried he had done something wrong. When he said that they weren't allowed near Frankie now, he scowled."What? You can't do that. We're her friends.", he argued. He watched Sadie get questioned by the policeman and he was thrown off by her having talked to Frankie last. "Sir, can I accompany my friend downtown as well?", he asked, not wanting her to be alone there.
Sadie shook her head several times, giving Drew's phone back to him. "I don't need this. I don't need a lawyer because I didn't do anything wrong," she told Drew. "I'm sorry, son but if her parents want to fill you in on their daughter's condition then that's up to them. My hands are tied here," the man replied to Dallas, slightly shrugging his shoulders. "And that won't be necessary. We're not treating her as a suspect, it's just a few simple questions that should only take several minutes," he added, mostly looking at Sadie as he spoke. "Dal, I appreciate the offer but I'll be fine. I can call you when I'm done there," the brunette said, doing her best to sound reassuring. Sadie stood next to the policeman, ready to follow him back to the station. "Alright, kids. You're going to have to leave now. Or we will have officers escort you out. Your choice."
Luke shook his head once the officer had came. He wasn't going anywhere. He just stood by the door, patiently waiting for his friend to wake up. "The hospital is a public area. You can kick me out of her room, but you can't kick me out of the waiting room so I'm going to /wait/ until she wakes up and tells her parents to let me in," he spoke, not even turning to look behind him.
Drew took his phone from her. "Whatever you say," he said before walking over to Luke. "I’m sorry alright?" he sighed, standing by him looking over at Jenna. "I’m sorry J," he told her, looking down. Drew wasn't leaving Luke or Frankie this time.
"Sir, we are allowed to kick you out if the parents and the hospital staff feels that you are a disturbance and right now, you are," said the cop. Since it was evident that Luke was not going to budge, several policemen came from around the corner to assist the one already there. Two men stood by Frankie's door to act as a guard while two others stood beside both Luke and Drew. "Last chance to leave on your own, gentleman."
"Luke's right. We don't have to go anywhere. We're not bothering anyone either." Dallas was reluctant to leave Sadie alone, even though he knew it was just questioning, but he still accepted her going by herself. When more police officers came, he walked and stood next to his friends. "Sir. I'm not leaving here."
Jenna couldn't believe that this was happening. She looked worriedly over at Sadie, wondering what the hell was going on, why did they have to talk to her? What did she have to do with Frankie's accident? She bit her lip nervously and looked back at the cop and then at Sadie. "Sadie...call me when you get finished, okay?" She said, looking at Drew and Dallas. When Luke and Drew both decided they weren't leaving, she looked at them. "It's okay," she told Drew, shaking her head, not really sure what he was even apologizing for, but she walked over towards him anyways, not leaving her friends and just faced the police officers, looking over at the others, not saying anything.
Luke nodded as his boys surrounded him, the first time they stood in solidarity together in a while. "We're not disturbing anyone. Once we talk to our friend and see she's okay we will leave. Until then, we're here to stay. You are causing a disturbance by questioning Sadie in the open and attempt to kick us out in front of the entire hospital. Now if you would leave quietly, we'll remain quiet til our friend is cleared as okay."
The cops were unamused as the four teenagers stood aligned. "Alright, I guess we're all taking a ride to the station, but you four will be going in hand cuffs," the main sergeant said as two one officer was assigned to each teen, demanding they place their hands behind their backs and cooperate. "You take Ms. Rowland out to the squad car and start the questioning process immediately," he told the detective. "I'll get these four there as soon as possible and they'll be placed in separate cells for the time being," the sergeant said to the other cops. As Detective Collins guided Sadie out the back entrance, she turned to see her friends getting cuffed and all she could do was laugh, knowing that it was so typical of them to get themselves into a situation like this. "I'll bail you guys out later," Sadie shouted before she was completely out of sight.
Luke turned around, knowing better to fight the cops at this point. His hands fromed the cross method he was already to famailr with doing having been arrested not too long ago. "I don't want any help from you," he spoke before Sadie was out of frame. He got himself in this mess and he'd get himself and his friends out. As they stood together he couldn't help but smile. No matter the drama going on, they stayed by each other's side.
Dallas turned around, angry at having this done to him in a hospital for one, but a little relieved that this wasn't his week with Rocky and that this wouldn't go on his record hopefully. All he could do now was hope that Sadie would be alright and that they'd find a way to see their friend again. "Got a hell of a story to tell both sets of parents.", he sighed. As he looked around at his friends, he was glad that this had brought them together, even if it was in cuffs.
Drew looked at the cops, glaring as they grabbing his hands. "I fucking swear," he stood behind Luke "Well I guess I'm calling my old man tonight after all," he sighed. Drew looked back at Frankie’s door then at her parents. "Just so you know, it was your fucking car she was in." He called out to her father. "I’m her friend, not her dad so where were you to stop her?" he looked back at the floor, following Luke as he started to walk out. It had been a long time since he had been hand cuffed and walked out with all of them.
Jenna knew that her brother was going to kill her, but it was worth it. She watched Sadie go out with the other officer and just sighed. Honestly, how had this night gone from bad to worse, but she was standing by her friends sides no matter what. Jenna just did what the officers told her to do and put her hands behind her back, looking over at Luke, she gave him a small smirk. She laughed when she heard Drew, completely agreeing. "Good point, Drew."

Turns out your face is one not even a mother could love. Maybe this will teach you to keep your mouth shut about my interpersonal affairs. Checkmate, Torres.
CHARACTERS → Frankie Hollingsworth & Drew Torres
DATE → Friday, February 4th
LOCATION → Fit Factory Fitness Gym, Downtown
SUMMARY → Frankie decides to visit Drew at the one place she knows she can find him, hoping to talk some sense into him.
Drew: glared down at his phone not sure how to respond the the girl or even feeling up to it after what had happened with Sadie just a few hours ago. His grip on the phone tightened as he looked at the wall of the empty gym before throwing the phone at it watching the phone shatter before his eyes. He turned away from the mess stating up with his warm ups "Fuck" he muttered to himself making a mental note to stop by the store and report the phone as stolen so that they would just send him a new one. Drew pulled off his shirt after the warm ups ended walking over to the punching bag as he pictured Vince once more throwing several punches before stopping.
Frankie decided the best way to talk to Drew about everything after what happened would be in person. She didn't want any miscommunication occurring over text, and there was always the chance Drew just wouldn't reply. Figuring the best place to find him would be the gym he trained at, she pushed open the doors, thankful that it was unlocked. Looking around, she didn't see anyone except for the figure by the punching bags at the other side. Making her way over, she was sure not to be seen by him until he stopped punching. When he did, she emerged from the shadowed area, unsure exactly how to approach him. "Good practice?" Frankie asked, hoping to break the ice somehow.
Drew: looked over as a small voice came out from behind him turning to see the youngest of the wild ones a puzzled look on his face as she approached him. "What are you doing here?" He wasn't sure how to deal with here being here seeing as she was only one of the group that hadn't exactly texted him back about his leaving. Drew knew it wasn't entirely fair to have sent such a harsh message to her, but in the moment it hadn't crossed his mind until the anger inside him subsided. He sighed leaning back on the punching bag "I doubt your here for train" he told her keeping his eyes low unsure of why he felt so embarrassed now.
Frankie shrugged. "I figured if I was gonna find you anywhere it'd be here," She admitted, looking around at the various equipment that she had no idea how to use besides a few. Figuring the best way for him to open up to her would be to go along with his interests, Frankie raised an eyebrow at him. "Well sure, I mean, if there's anytime to train it may as well be now." Setting her purse down, she stood in front of the second punching bag before reaching her arm out to hit it. However, she didn't realize how hard it was and pulled her fist back in pain. "Yikes," She grimaced, shaking her hand.
Drew: watched the girl wait for what might come next whether it be name calling or just plain tears he was sure he'd see it all over the years. Much to his surprise Frankie was more willing to play ball then the other who had tried to talk to him so far. Drew noticed her throwing a punch a bit to late to stop her from actually hitting the punching bag "Yea you dan't have the the endurance for that yet Franks" he walked over to her. "Come on then" he turned to bring her to a more open area "Let's just see what you got first" he held out his hands for her. "Ok i want you to hit either of my hands as hard as you want" he told her not expecting much from such a small girl.
Frankie frowned at his words, "Endurance? I didn't know you needed endurance to punch," she admitted with a snicker. But she followed him over towards the other area, looking around at the different types of equipment and wondering what each of them did. She wasn't one for going to the gym often; usually she took some yoga or Zumba classes with her mom instead. Turning to him as he faced her, she gave him a puzzled look. "...Okay," Frankie said slowly, reaching out to firmly punch the older boy's hand. To her surprise, he pulled back quickly, wincing. "Sorry, I forgot to consider that your hands might be sore from the fight the other night," She said, trying to hide the hint of snark in her voice.
Drew: smiled as she mocked him "The endurance if for the pain kid" he shook his head "I mean how much of it can you take right now?" He knew the answer after seeing her failed attempt just now. He watched as she looked around the room wondering what might be going through her mind as she noticed his hands up he smiled. Drew felt her punch come in stronger than he had expected pulling his hand back quickly and shaking it "Fuck" he looked over at her. Drew glared at the girl as she brought up the fight now sure if it was doing it out of spite or sincerity "Yea I bet you did" he put on a smile. Drew walked over grabbing his water bottle as he looked at her "Say it then" he looked over at her waiting "I can't train you if you aren't completely honest about what you want to say to me"
Frankie shrugged, unsure what her tolerance level was at a starting point. "I guess I won't know until I try." At his response, Frankie couldn't help but let out a laugh. Maybe she was stronger than she thought she was. Remembering what she'd heard about the other night, however, she was slightly scared of what Drew was capable of, but she knew deep down that he would never do anything to intentionally physically harm her. As he took a sip of water, she crossed her arms, unsure exactly what to tell him. Finally, she spoke. "I just want to understand. You know, why you don't like us anymore, why you wanted to fight Vince at the rave...I just want like, an explanation." Looking at him honestly, Frankie sighed, hoping they could talk about it without getting into any sort of argument.
Drew: waited his turn to speak thinking over what she had ask "It's not that I don't like you all anymore" he told her to start but was sure were to take it at this point. He sighed "I'm leaving cause I need a change Franks..I need people who are down for me" He told her looking anywhere but her face. Drew placed his hand on the back of his neck "This is who i am Frankie" he motion at his bruised body and bloody knuckles that he doubted she had noticed. "I've been here since 8 in the morning pushing my body" he looked at her now dead in her eyes "I can't be apart of a group that doesn't understand" he looked away again. Vince was before her time and he did know how to explain that to her "Vince and I have a score and the last time we got into it he broke my leg" drew looked at her "So i broke his arm" he said it coldly as if he was saying his favorite color. Drew shrugged "whatever comes next comes next...but i wont live my life scared of a thug like him" He put down his water walking to the punching bag going at it again. He didn't have anything else to say to the younger girl, but he did wonder just what she thought of him now.
Frankie frowned, unsure what he meant by that. "Down for you? You mean, like...a gang?" She shuddered at the thought of another gang forming, knowing that gang wars usually turned out to be messy and sometimes even deadly. "I feel like that would only make things worse," She admitted, letting her arms fall to her side. Examining his multiple bruises and wounds, she let out a sigh. She knew he loved to fight, that he got some sort of thrill and rush from it. But she also knew that if he used his skills at the wrong time, he could get into a lot of trouble. "It's not that we don't understand, we /know/ you're a good fighter...but isn't it better to fight for sport than to actually hurt other people?" Looking at him carefully, Frankie considered everything she'd heard about Vince. She couldn't decide her opinion of him exactly, but she did know he was bad news, one way or another. Although she didn't think breaking an arm because of a broken leg would solve anything, she tried her hardest to understand Drew's thinking. "You don't have to be scared of him. I mean, how did it start? What did he originally do to you? Could you guys /ever/ make peace somehow?" She followed him over to the punching bags, genuinely hoping he would consider the idea.
Drew: sighed tired of going in circles with this "No I don't mean like a gang...I don't want any of you getting in my fights" he looked at her "I mean when it all said and done I want people who will be here for me". Drew crossed his arms as he looked at her "I don't honestly care if I ruined the rave when I say I'm going to do something I'll do it" he told her shrugging his shoulders "And I told him if he came I was coming after him". Drew glared at her as she started to talk about his fighting "Sport? Do I look like some jock who cares about winning for sport" he shook his head as she looked him over he wondered what she might be thinking knowing she would never understand. Drew sighed "Frankie there is no peace" he thought about the past knowing there was no point in trying to fix it. Drew walked over the the smaller girl looking at the floor as he tried to figure out what to say now
Frankie looked at him intently, not sure how to get through to him. "We /are/ here for you!" She claimed, unable to hide the worry in her voice. At his next comment, she tightened her gaze, her eyes squinting in frustration. "You don't care? Well if you were scheming this all along, you could've at least warned us! Drew, what the hell? You were being so supportive of it when you talked to me about it a few days earlier!" Feeling upset and hurt that he was putting himself before the girls after all the work they'd put into the party, she crossed her arms firmly against her chest, feeling almost tempted to take another shot at the punching bag. "I don't know, don't you enjoy the feeling of winning?" Frankie asked, raising an eyebrow at him. "Seems like it considering you kind of 'won' with Vince. But you know he's gonna come after you again, right? And he's probably gonna have back-up," She warned him, knowing she was worried about the outcome but also aware that there wasn't much she could do about it.
Drew: sighed "I was supportive of the Rave and I was proud of you, but that didn't mean I was just gonna let Vince think I wouldn't come through with what I said" He turned away from her unable to take her stare. He moved his hands through his hair "I wasn't scheming..I told him to stay away for all of us because of who he is" He wasn't sure if anyone would ever understand him, but of all the people he had hoped it would have been his friends. He placed his hands onto the punching bag "Franks I don't care about winning...when I beat someone I know I can survive" he started to tell her knowing she wouldn't understand it. "I fight to prove that I wasn't a mistake because...I need to prove that I am alive" he looked at his own hands knowing all the proof he need was there. He turned glaring at her when she said he had only kind of beat Vince and started to feel his chest tighten up with the concern in her eyes he tried to smile walking up to her. Drew placed his hand on her head like he had to Adam when he was much younger "I know he's coming" he looked her in the eyes "Don't worry about me franks" Drew walked past the girl now holding himself together "You should stay away from me then..it's not safe". Drew was a danger to them and his friends made him weak so he would do them all a favor and stay away then.
Frankie remembered hearing that Vince was coming to the party, and not thinking too much of it. She hadn't exactly known the conflict between him and Drew, and she decided that nothing too bad could happen. Besides, she supposed it could've been worse than a fight, but it still had caused enough commotion to create trouble for everyone around. "I mean, I wish I could understand more, but no one seems to want to tell me much about the guy," She said, letting out an exasperated sigh. Sometimes she got really tired of being the youngest one, not knowing all the stuff that had happened before her time. "You weren't a mistake. And if it makes you feel alive, fine, but whatever you do, don't let it make you dead." She looked at him carefully, unsure whether she was actually getting through to him or not. As he approached her and placed a hand on her head, she tried to hide the worry in her eyes. She'd grown to look up to Drew as an older brother, and seeing him in a situation like this made her incredibly nervous for his sake. "Fine," She said finally, "If that's what you want." Picking up her purse and turning to head towards the doors, she looked back at him one last time. "You have my number if you ever change your mind, though." With that, she turned and headed out the exit, hoping her words made a difference to him.
Drew: listened as the door shut his mind doing that overthinking thing it always did whenever he wasn't focused on working or partying. He sighed as he turned and ran out after the girl "Frankie" he called out as he looked for where she might have gone feeling the cold against his body. "Frankie" he called again taking a left as he walked looking for the younger girl "Look I'm sorry" he said not sure if she could hear him "I never meant for all this to happen" he sighed. "I just wanted him to stay away and when I saw him I couldn't stop" his body was shaking and he wasn't sure if it was due to the cold or his own emotions. "I'm losing it" he said looking down as he turned to start making his way back.
Frankie heard the doors open and her name being called out again, but she had already turned the corner and quickly jumped behind the wall, worried at first that Drew was going to explode at her in anger or something. But when she heard his words, she sighed quietly, not expecting an apology from the older boy. As she peered behind the wall to see him turning back, she stepped out, striding over to him. "It's okay," She said, even though she knew it wasn't completely. "I mean, I understand. Kind of. I get why you did it. And I guess now that it's over, maybe it's best we all just forget about it?”
Drew: stopped as he heard her voice turning to see her wondering if it really was ok, but nodded along anyways not trying to waste this chance to at least say sorry to her. "He's not going to forget Franks, but I wanted to say sorry to you" he told her before turning to head back into the gym.
