Tumblr player

I wanted to share my characters' playlists (or at least part of them) by adding them to their blog. I managed to do it, but apparently wikplayer doesn't work anymore... So I'm sad, because it was a really cool setting ! Well, I'll have to figure out how to share them, but if anyone knows a way to replace wikplayer, I'd be glad !

A psa about wikplayer

Hey guys! So I don’t know how many people have been experiencing this error when people try to send them asks, but I have been ever since the update was forced on everyone:

I found that it was happening only to blogs that, for whatever reason, had “Follow [url]” / “tumblr” buttons in place of the usual follow/get notifications/customize you’d see in the top right corner. I sent tumblr a support ticket, and they said, only semi-helpfully, that it was something in my custom code. So I went around to different blogs of mine and my mutuals’ looking for a common denominator, and it seemed to be autoplay. So I tried removing wikplayer from my blog, and lo and behold, I was able to send myself an ask.

I don’t know what changed in tumblr’s back end that suddenly caused wikplayer to break the ask box, and frankly I’m not a fan, but if anyone else is experiencing this error, remove wikplayer from your theme code if you have it in there. I’ve found an alternative in glenthemes’s music players which don’t rely on an external service like wikplayer or scm, and it doesn’t seem to be breaking my inbox. So if you absolutely must have music on your blog, go snag one of their music players and see how it treats your blog.

why does wikplayer not work?

Player shows, but music doesn’t play I was trying to put it in different places (it was originally between closing body tag and closing html tag). Every link to yt works fine. Anyway it does work on wikplayer site Anyone has any advice?
