This is Berthe Morisot, the only woman to participate in the First Impressionist Exhibition of 1874. She preferred to depict private, intimate scenes, often including families, children, and flowers, but also produced some garden and landscape works. Although her works were often labelled as “feminine” by male critics, her paintings show an amazing talent regardless of gender.
