Local trade union centre welcomes 15% cut in property tax

A majority of Wicklow County Councillors voted this week to lower the property tax by 15%. There has been huge opposition to the controversial tax, which is meant to fund local services. The Government admitted that they had in fact diverted the property tax receipt into setting up the equally controversial Irish Water.
