[ /wickedlvly /@violentdesires ] cont. from here !
pik can feel the wall that cosimo had built up around himself ā¬ā¬ā¬ the barrier between them. whatās worse ? theyāve felt this wall before, but cannot recall being on this side of it. they donāt fault him for this; knew this was how it was going to be going in. were the seraph in their right mind, they wouldnāt have waited until tonight to see or speak with their brother. wouldāve, in fact, called to cosimo the very instant that they could [ . . . ] but theyāre not in their right mind. they havenāt been for months.
the drink is accepted absent-mindedly as unblinking eyes stay up on the night sky. transfixed, it seems [ . . . ] until fingers are felt entangling with their own ā¬ā¬ā¬ and again, theyāve violet to thank for pulling them out of their own damn head and back into the moment. that out-of-place smile drops and so does their attention, down to their hand as it shakes lightly against hers. it takes a second for fingers to regain dexterity to return the gesture, but [ . . . ] they do. surprises them, too, that they do.
a small pained smile threatens their features at the coupleās initial reaction to the mere idea of the angel returning to heaven. made sense. itās why it hurt. their head, however, continues to hang, more interested in where violetās connecting them all than anything else. itās true: cosimo and pinnikolaiās loyalties do differ. not only is the seraph still connected to heaven, but [ . . . ] they want to be. in heaven, however, or even in god, is not where their loyalties lie. not truly.
anyone looking close enough could see where they do.
dark browns gravitate toward cosimo for the briefest of seconds, finally attempting to meet his gaze after minutes of looking anywhere but before looking for violetās. they shoot down to the ground again a beat after, slightly amused, softly shaking their head. ā ā no. not heaven. ā ā now, pik wasnāt one to so openly denounce or approve of the denouncing of god ( no matter how in the right ), but they [ . . . ] didnāt even think to disapprove of the pairās comments tonight ā¬ā¬ā¬ were smirking slightly, even !
ā ā i could not be down here nor in the fae realm. i still should not be- should only be in one realm [ . . . ] af- after ⬠what i did to them. ā ā
their grip on both the drink and violetās hand gradually begins to tighten. the small amount of added pressure effortlessly shatters the glass in one hand, but they donāt so much as flinch, only staring down vacantly as their other hand, still entwined with violetās, continues to tighten.
