In the chapter Surreption, when Ivy suggests bringing Freckle to the Lackadaisy, Rocky IMMEDIATELY shoots her down and says he has things to do

of course, Freckle goes anyway once Iy slips him a clover pin and then Rocky gets Freckle involved deeper when he sees Mitzi and Wick kiss in the chapter Rendezvous

hes DESPERATE to be kept by her and this desperation leads him to drag his cousin down a dark path in Pinstripes

but even then, in Bookkeeper, Rocky all but promises Freckle that he won’t have to shoot anyone again and that his job will just be for looks

…which then turns out to be a lie when Rocky gets desperate to not be replaced by Wick again when Mitzi says Wick and his money saved them again in Camouflage

this causes him to craft a plan where Freckle will kill Fish and Wes (this is also a day after the head injury, so he might also not be in his right mind), not only going back on his word but FURTHER leading Freckle down a life of crime

The thing that motivates Rocky to dig himself and Freckle into the crime life is desperation and the fear of being replaced by Wick

Since I saw your requests are open I was hoping I could ask you for a fic with the Siamese that we love so much💔

So I was thinking maybe Wick and reader are really good friends but their relationship is on the border of flirtation and friendship - something akin to what he has with Mitzi. And the thing is she hasn't seen Wick for a while but one evening he saw her at the speakeasy so he was like: hey! It's a great opportunity to reunite!

So he goes up to her and they have a small chat and then he asks her to go out with him (to catch up on the old times). Then she's like: you mean as on a date??😼😼😼

And he goes all smug like: that's not exactly what I meant, but if you insist.

And then she's disappointed (that it wasn't his initial thought) and he points that out, but she acts like she doesn't know what he means and acts like she doesn't want a date with him (but she actually do want it) and it's a swing from: "don't flatter yourself, I don't wanna go on a date with you." To "wait no, actually we can go if you want to" so basically they have a playful banter hehe. And in the end he actually takes her out!

I just thought this idea was pretty funny and cute.

You and Sedgeick were nothing but a headache to everyone around them. Wick couldn't count how many times Lacy had subtly... or actually rather bluntly asked what the two of you were. It wasn't his fault he sent as much as mixed signals as you did!

So naturally, he accidentally hadn't seen you in a while, was it embarrassment at not being able to ask you out properly? Was it that he was simply busier than usual? He wasn't going to ask Lacy again, she is probably fed up with how much he talks about you and randomly defends his unlabelled relationship with you out of nowhere.

But that coincidentally changed tonight. He was at Lackadaisy, as he usually did, when he spots a familiar face at the bar, you. Well, what a nice surprise, best go and say hello... to be polite of course, definitely not try to make a proper move that he has been procrastinating.

He slides into the stool next to you, putting on his best sauve and charming face.

"What pleasure do I have to seeing you tonight?"

The voice drags you out of your trance (you were eavesdropping on conversations), and you idly glance over with a smirk, cheek resting in your hand.

"Wick, what a nice surprise, I haven't seen you in a while, been hiding in your taxes again?" You ask, tail flicking subconsciously.

Wick mirrored your smirk, signalling the bartender with practiced subtleness.

"Well, you could say they have been particularly gruelling this year, business and all." He stated, trying not to bore you with work talk.

He takes his drink from the bartender, how the bartender knew what to get him was beyond you but you ignored it; watching him swirl his drink for a moment before replying, you liked watching him squirm.

"Of course, business and all." You nodded, somewhat sarcastic.

There was a brief silence, comfortable in your book, tense in Wick's, he sipped his drink to gather his thoughts, deciding to just dive in headfirst.

"So... it has come to my attention that there is a new restaurant that has opened, perhaps we should go sometime, catch up on old times."

You perked up, sitting half slightly, giving him a fake gasp.

"Wick, do you mean as on a date?"

He smirked in his glass, unseen by you. Time to play up the nonchalance.

"Well, that isn't exactly what I meant, but I suppose if you insist, it could be."

You deflated, though hid it by taking a quick sip from your drink. Though of course, he noticed.

"Uh, of course I mean if you-" He started, seeing your mood shift.

"Don't worry about it, it was a halfwit idea anyway-" You said, chugging the rest of your drink, putting down the now empty drink roughly on the counter.

Wick flinched at the sharp clink, as you spoke again with equally sharp words.

"I mean, us? Courting? Tch." You then ignored his gaze intentionally.

You sat there in awkward silence for a moment; you avoiding looking at him with flatten ears and hazardly moving tail test screamed annoyance, while Wick tried to think of something to say to fix the situation he had accidentally created.

"...Yes, us... on a date, ridiculous." Wick said, looking down at the bar glumly, completely assuming that he ruined this relationship, romance and all.

"Completely." You muttered, believing that he had no interest in you romantically and you had been played for a fool.

"...Well I apologise for... assuming wrong of your intentions." Wick said, trying to at least end this affair of sorts on good terms.

"It was wrong of me to assume that you wanted to be romantically involved without conformation."

You furrowed your brow, wait he did want to go on a date on you?

Your ears and tail reset to neutral as you turned towards him suddenly.

"Wait, you thought I wanted to be romantically involved with you?"

Wick nodded slowly, sensing confusion between you two.

"Yes, and it was wrong of me to assume-"

"Stop, stop." You interrupted.

"So you did want to go on a date with me?" You clarified.

"Yes!- I mean yes, why wouldn't I want too?" Wick said eagerly, before clearing his throat and correcting himself.

"Then why did you make it sound like you hadn't thought of the idea at all?" You asked, perplexed.

"I uh... didn't want to sound too eager- you know what? Let's just forget everything from the past 5-10 minutes. " Wick said, almost pleading with you to play along.

"Alright, go ahead." You said with a besumed nod.

"Would you... perhaps want to go... on a date with me, at some point in time." Wick said carefully, albeit a bit nervously.

"Yes Wick, I would love to go on a date with you." You replied, a genuine smile creeping on your face.

"Took you long enough."

Wick laughed breathlessly, like a weight had lifted off his shoulders.

"Yes, I suppose I did."
