So a while ago I mentioned on my first post about my 4kota AU I mentioned how Arthur may or may not end up kidnapping his long lost kid Mordred (with my version of Guinevere who’s a fully grown adult the same age as Arthur who was kind of relevant during the 7ds era) after he shows up on a staircase to heaven to kick a bunch of teenagers asses because he’s bored and finds out that his runaway wife (Guinevere) & half-sister (Morgana) have run off to Liones after running away from New Camelot.

So after Arthur just grabs Mordred (because his Anti-Aware bracelet accidentally fell from his wrist while he was running around doing errands in a rush and accidentally bumped into the Percy Platoon) and a big fight breaks out because Team Liones wants to kick Arthur’s ass and get Mordred back.

Arthur weaponizes the fact that Team Liones can’t do shit without accidentally harming Mordred so he just dips as soon as possible and as soon as he senses both Morgana & Meliodas coming to kick his ass.

So the fight in Liones ends sooner than in Canon and then the Knights of Chaos show up being all like “TF is our king at??”

Everyone in Liones: Are those the Knights of Chaos from Camelot?!?! 🤯🤯🤯😱😱😰😨

Then Arthur telepathically tells his goons: “Get your asses over here you all! I just found my long lost and only living kid with my runaway wife that ran off with my older sister. I have a party to plan and some kool-aid to shove down my new kid’s throat!!”

So then the Chaos Knights dip and go back to Camelot to meet their King’s new kid/heir aka their new prince.

“I wonder how Prince Agravain will react?” - Half of the Chaos knights who are already sensing an inevitable and impending conflict between Arthur’s no good trouble making nephew from his younger (full) sister Morgause (Agravaine) and Arthur’s newly found only living child (Mordred) with errant Queen Guinevere who ran off with the King’s half-sister Morgana of Cornwall (who gave her inheritance of Gorlois’s duchy up to her younger sister Elain of Cornwall when she became Merlin’s pupil/the future Royal Mage of Camelot before she ran away with their Kinh’s wife and the 1 month old Mordred)

So when Arthur shows up in Camelot he plops Mordred down on the grass and is all proud and all like: “Aww! Isn’t this wonderful my son? 😁 You’re in Camelot now and away from the vile purity of Liones. Now I can teach you the proper ways of being a king and how to preserve Camelot and how to unlock your Chaos powers!!”

Mordred, on the grass, hyperventilating and on the verge of a panic attack: “GET ME OUT OF HERE AND AWAY FROM THIS FREAKING PSYCHOPATH!! MOM! AUNT MORG!! COME PICK ME UP I’M SCARED!! PLEASE COME SAVE ME FROM THIS PSYCHO!!!!!

So anyway the Chaos Hoes show up and Arthur introduces them all to a very stunned & shocked Mordred who’s just laying on the grass desperately wanting this all to just be a really bad dream but is starting to horrifyingly find out that this is in fact now his reality with a lot of dread starting to settle in

So yada, yada, Dramatic Crowning Scene (TM) with all the Chaos Knights kneeling down and declaring to protect Mordred with their lives and vowing eternal loyalty/obedience to the Crown Prince of Camelot.

Then Arthur proceeds to shove bits of Chaos into Mordred’s body which leaves the poor boy screaming and writhing in absolute agony until eventually his body accepts the Chaos and his right eye turns into a vey dark shade of purple and he’s left all shaken/scared and absolutely freaking traumatized.

Then Arthur -absolutely blasé about the shit that he just did to one child and gleefully that his kid is alive/accepted the bits of Chaos that Arthur shoved into poor Mordred’s body- turns towards his knights (who don’t know what TF just happened and are just little bit scared of their king and maybe even just a little bit concerned for their new prince) and is all like: “Ironside! You have a son, right! Good, well I think that it would be absolutely delightful and wonderful if Mordred met your Diodora. After all, it will be good for my boy to have friends his age that will be a good influence on him after having lived in Liones for so long. So what do you say?”

And Ironside is all shocked for a moment before quickly getting over his shock about what just happened to Mordred and is all like: “Y-Yes Sire! Right away Your Majesty! My son Diodora will be honored to meet the Prince. I’m sure that Diodora will be a good influence on the young Prince.”

“Good, make sure of that,” Arthur smiles, and it leaves Ironside on edge. “I won’t have any tolerance for bad influence on my boy,”

So both Diodora and Mordred meet and it’s vaguely awkward with Mordred still being pretty shaken up about having Chaos forcibly shoved into his body.

But Diodora is a kind person and he immediately tries to help Mordred by trying to help him calm down. So he differs him tea and guides him to the couch where Mordred can start to process what TF just happened to him and lets him see his giant pet cat. And Mordred immediately distracted by the fact that Diodora is pretty nice and that Diodora is letting him pet the giant purple cat/tiger.

What situations can I out these folks in?

So anyway, Gabriel and Michael + Raphael (previous Archangels in my AU and former pupils of of Ezrael, my version of Goddess Elizabeth’s not-discussed-probably-exists father) 💯 got drunk and accidentally married while hanging out in Britannia.

First time it was in a Druid fashion (some kids saw them and told their parents and that’s how the legend of the two lovers who ran off to get secretly married was created). They were hella out of it since they over did it with the human booze & wine (sue them, it was their first time trying that stuff!)

Second time it was the equivalent of what the Goddess clan would consider a marriage like humans do.

THIRD time was in a human style wedding while they were both completely sober and they 100% had totally legitimate reasons for getting fake married!

So basically the Camelot squad is (officially) Merlin, Arthur, Guinevere (my version), Morgana, and Morgause.

(Kay is an unofficial member-ish, sort of)

Before S3 & S2 of 7ds (and 4kota), the Camelot gang was just basically a happy (found-ish) family unit (is it found family if 2 members are your half-siblings and another is your future wife? -Arthur)

Merlin was basically more of a parent than Uther was (no surprise there, Uther is always a terrible parent no matter the work).

Morgause is Arthur’s full sister (same parents) while Morgana is their half sister (same dad but different mom). And Guinevere is Arthur’s arranged fiancée for political purposes & arranged political marriages.

I keep thinking about Pre-S3 Camelot squad and how happy all of them were. Morgana being Merlin’s pupil in magic, Morgause & Guinevere looking at Merlin for advice since she’s also a woman and she’s older and she’s in a position of power in Uther’s court, Arthur looking up to Merlin because she’s the closest thing that he has to a parent and she’s his main teacher.

Morgana who was going to be the Royal Mage of Camelot after Merlin and be able to stay beside her brother instead of going back to her dead other father’s (Gorlois) lands.

Guinevere who’s going to be Queen of Camelot and rule alongside Arthur just like she’s been told her entire life, wanting to be like the fair and beautiful queens in the stories, and wanting to be a good queen that is loved.

Morgause who felt unloved & unwanted by Uther being happy to be with her siblings, friend & future sis-in-law, and her sort-of-not-quite favorite teacher. Happy to finally being loved and cherished instead of being ignored and downplayed.

Arthur who wants to be a good king. Arthur who wants to make his father proud of him. Arthur who doesn’t really remember his mother. Arthur who sees Merlin as his idol and his teacher. Arthur who sometimes feels like Merlin is kind of what a mother is technically supposed to be.

And Merlin, Merlin, Merlin.

Merlin who wants to resurrect Chaos. Merlin who thinks that Arthur will make the best host for Chaos. Merlin who finds herself being protective over Arthur and his sisters and even for little Guinevere.

Merlin who finds herself teacher not just her future king, but his two sisters and his future queen. Merlin noticing Morgana’s magical potential and making the young girl her new pupil (Vivian was a disaster, maybe Morgana will be different).

Merlin who thinks about Elizabeth when she’s with little Morgause (so happy despite being so lonely and sad. So wonderful and so much like her mother (Ygraine), fair-haired and blue-eyed and so very resilient)

Merlin who finds herself giving advice to Guinevere in how to be a queen just like she does with Arthur in how to be king.

Merlin who finds herself caring about all of these children. These wonderful and bright eyed children who dream of a better future, a better world, and a happier ending.

Something, something it’s a tragedy that in WIC (and LSK) the Camelot gang split apart and you can barely recognize it anymore.

Arthur only has his widowed sister Morgause (heartbroken, grieving, and empty inside) and her children left with him.

Morgana ran away with Guinevere and 1 month old Mordred to Liones and hasn’t exactly looked back since. (She’s trying to figure out a way to get back her precious sunshine baby brother, but she’s kind of realized that her Arthur is as good as dead)

Guinevere ran off with Morgana and baby Mordred because she couldn’t take it anymore and she also couldn’t stand to lose yet another child in the New Camelot.

Merlin is nowhere in sight and no one exactly knows where she is right now. (Morgana resents her for putting Chaos in Arthur, Guinevere doesn’t know how to feel, and Morgause just doesn’t care anymore)
