A MAGA mom on SNAP is going viral after revealing her family refused to lend her just $50 for groceries and baby formula 😬📉

She explained online that she and her husband rely on food stamps, WIC, and veteran benefits while struggling to raise two young kids. But when they asked her mother-in-law for help, the response was brutally ironic: “We voted for this.” 🤷‍♂️🔥

And honestly… that one sentence perfectly sums up modern Republican politics. So many people voted for cuts, shutdowns, and attacks on social programs while depending on those exact same programs to survive.

This woman told me specific paperwork to upload, then made an appointment for me so far in the future that the things she told me specifically to upload no longer qualified. THEN she sat staring at her little piece of paper shaking her head because she couldn’t possibly run the numbers using the documents that were exactly correct three weeks ago. I guess I should admire her ability to follow instructions, but frankly I don’t. It’s basic fucking arithmetic and the final answer isn’t going to change with newer information. SO FUCKING STUPID.

Whatever. We don’t qualify anymore. I can do basic fucking math, even if these fuckers can’t, and $6,000 >>> $4,000. Like, this isn’t even fucking borderline. Why waste everyone’s time when I OBVIOUSLY NO LONGER QUALIFY???

This also got me thinking about other idiotic shit WIC does. They have given us so much random crap. I think the most directly useful and relevant items they’ve given us were a placemat, bowl, and spoon. Like, that makes sense to give people in an early childhood nutrition program. But why the fuck did they give us a damn kite? That doesn’t support nutrition and a small child can’t fucking use it.

They updated the benefits last month in the most unhelpful ways possible. Oh, you can get tuna now! Ok, cool. The benefit is for 6 oz. Want to guess how big a can of tuna is? It’s 5 oz. So you can’t use the entire benefit. Similar with the change to whole grains. They reduced that one from 2 x 1 lb items to 24 oz total. Guess what? It is not possible to purchase 24 oz of whole grain. There are no 8 oz options available. There are 16 oz options. And 20 oz options. And 18 oz options. So again, you can’t even use the entire benefit. But you can buy bagels now! Who the fuck cares? And don’t even get me started on the breakfast cereal benefit that is so obviously there because of lobbyists.

The. Stupidest. People. Run. This. Program. And legislators sit around complaining about sending struggling families money to buy fresh produce, but ignore how their stupid asf mandates throw money away on wasted worker time and dumb swag.
