It’s holiday season and family is bound to be a big part of that. My roommate’s mother lives in Kentucky or someone near there but our roommate is living in Maryland, with us :(. His mother decides to come over for the holidays or he invited her over without our consent and just told us she’s coming, either one is very plausible since I’ve never met this woman. Also he has invited people over to our house without even telling us before. I heard she is a very lovely woman but this post isn’t about her. It’s about her 35 year old son.
Our roommate demanded that his mother cook for him on the day that she arrives from her flight. It’s not a long flight but still, that’s a good chunk of her day in and out of airports and travelling. At least give her a break. According to my fiance, he said the same thing to our roommate and he complained saying he was tired of not getting his mom’s cooking and wants to maximize the food she’ll make for him. Again, our roommate is 35 years old and says he does not suffer from any mental illnesses. Also apparently his mother got him tested and all tests came up negative on autism and mental illnesses that could impact judgement and learning.
His mother even said it would be easier for to cook something easy the day before like a green bean casserole and bring it on the plane with her the next day so he can eat it. He said he did not want that because he didn’t like green beans and wants something fresh. Again, this is a grown adult and still doesn’t eat his vegetables. So the conclusion is that she is flying in today and he is going to go grocery shopping with her as soon as she lands and then she’ll cook for him.
