something in justine’s voice makes gróa frown, though that’s fair enough, isn’t it? there isn’t a thing about their situation that isn’t difficult to some degree. for a moment, she peers back over her shoulder through the doorway, thinking how there’s not a damn thing in her life that she likes right now. and how easy it would be to change that. 

she’s a brave woman about a lot of things and, if they’re careful about it, why can’t this be one of them? she doesn’t fully convince herself, and she has to lower her voice when she speaks again lest ben hears from inside-- but she’s halfway there.
