I said I would post properly about Whose Tree Is This and give you all a preorder link if you wanted it, so HERE IT IS!!
Whose Tree Is This, written by Marilyn Singer, is my debut picture book (I illustrated it!) coming out from Lerner Books on April 7th. It's a great little nonfiction book exploring oak trees and all the critters that live in and around them. Part of the reason I was so stoked to illustrate it is that Marilyn didn't shy away from the smaller critters: this is a love letter to insect and arachnid life. There are spreads about orb weaver spiders, cicadas, katydids, springtails, caterpillars, squirrelsβ it's incredible, and it was so much fun to illustrate it.
