Jas is the barista who does cute little foam art things on Bucky’s coffees because he is her favourite customer, and Bucky is the perpetually exhausted, brooding one who doesn’t even like lattes or cappuccinos, he just wants normal black coffee but he thinks Jas is cute so he lets her give him the shitty drinks with the cute foam art

Highschool/College AU: Who is the straight-A student, and who’s the backrow slacker? Jas is the straight-A student and Bucky is the annoying jock who sits at the back of the class and throat balled up bits of paper at her to get her attention because he’s emotionally inept

Rivals to loves AU: Who takes their rivalry seriously, and who is half in it just to push the other’s buttons? Jas would take the rivalry seriously and would 165% if want to shove him in front of a bus Regina George style, Bucky is defo just in it to push her buttons 😭

Enemies to lovers AU: Which one switches sides? Bucky 😌

Soulmate AU: Who is eager to meet their soulmate? Who absolutely does not want to meet their soulmate? Jas wants to meet her soulmate, Bucky could not care less because he feels like he doesn’t deserve a soulmate

Single parent AU: Which one is the single parent? Bucky, he has a super cute little girl who he adores, and Jas is just uncle Steve’s new friend who Bucky’s daughter suddenly develops an attachment too and “she’s my best friend, Dad!”

Doctor AU: Which one is the longsuffering doctor? Which one is the patient? You know what I’m having Bucky as the doctor and Jas as the patient who absolutely refuses to see him until she’s really poorly because “I’ve just been busy”

Bodyguard AU: Who is the bodyguard? Who are they protecting? Which one is secretly pining for the other? Ooooh!!! Bucky as the bodyguard, protecting Jas because her husband is some big businessman who has a lot of shady dealings, but Bucky and Jas are both pining for each other 🥺

Pirate AU: Who is the pirate? Who is the member of the royal family who did not sign up for this? I want to say Bucky as the pirate bc of the long hair but I am not going to. Jas is a pirate and she’s a damn sexy one, she tricks Bucky by making out she’s a damsel in distress and boom! She’s gone and kidnapped herself a prince!

Childhood best friends AU: Which one was super obviously in love with the other the whole time? Who was oblivious until they were older? PLEEEEASE Bucky has very obviously been in love with Jas from day one and she has been totally oblivious to it despite several people blatantly saying to her “hey so d’you know Bucky is in love with you”, she laughs it off every single time thinking it’s a joke

Literally the first thing I thought of was Sir Barnes returning from The War and his mind is free and he is Tired, but he forces himself through the valley. Through the melting snow and onward, because his heart aches and he cannot rest until he’s seen Her. Until he’s enveloped with the warm smells of yeast and sweet creams and her, and in her arms again.

And when he stumbles through the door, half frozen, he nearly sends her into shock, but she’s moving before he can assure her of anything. And then she’s holding him, freezing or not, and he feels the warm creep back into his icy bones. She’s murmuring words he can’t completely make out, save for his name, dripping from her lips like the syrups she uses.

IT IS lmfao I’ve just taken to writing my second fic whenever Im in the mood, not post any chapters even if I completed one, because if I start posting it’s going to give me anxiety about making it a scheduled thing 😭😭 and I don’t write consistently enough on it to make it happen
