There’s a little witch in all of us as the saying goes. But what do we do to feel magical? What do we do to honour our souls and our bodies?
Sometimes life is such that we don’t do much in that way. We don’t take the time to go and stand outside and let out bare feet rest on the cool dirt or the soft grass. We don’t look at the stars and watch them move across the stars and think about our place in the universe. We don’t wear that necklace we know makes us feel protected. We don’t wear the clothes that make us feel powerful. We don’t eat the foods that make us feel whole and good. We don’t jump in the shower and wash away the impact of others upon us and all the dirt of the world, so we feel cleansed as we tackle the day or slip into a restful slumber. Most days we don’t even take ten minutes to put the world aside and just sit with ourselves. It’s just the way that life can be.
But maybe today we should do something to feel a little more magical, a little more in tune with nature, a little bit more in tune with ourselves. Take thirty seconds, take ten minutes.
