reading The Jedi Path: a Manual for Students of the Force and while part of me is glad itās not considered canonā I have never liked, found helpful, or inviting of/cultivating of learning that particular admonishing/ condescending tone that especially the earlier passages are written in, especially for young childrenā it is also give me soooooooo many fanfic ideas and thereās so many cool things in here, and so part of me is sad that itās not canon!
of course, like the Kenobi book and other considered-not-canon media, you can still read and enjoy as much as you want, but itās sad because it means this stuff wonāt show up in future star war media. like this book explains the lightsaber fighting forms, lists the actual Jedi codesā 5 core precepts (something that, to my knowledge we donāt have formalized at all in canon), lists soooo many cool aspects of using the force outside of battles, ways to learn in the force, force sensitive creatures, and so much more
even if itās not canon Iām definitely bookmarking things for future fanfic writing purposes because this is just. such a fun reference to have
Sorry I know this is not your usual cup of tea, and if it doesnāt interest you feel free to ignore this:)
But S, have you ever given the ā admittedly very minor ā dynamic between Loki and Steve any thoughts? Because in the brief interactions/crossovers they have in canon, Loki seems at the very least very interested in Steve, shapeshifting into Steve and mocking him throughout different movies. Iāve personally always believed he secretly had a little crush on him, which led me to think about a potential, maybe one-time threesome between Stucky and him, you know? but there would be tension between Loki and Steve, even during and after it, and Bucky would just kind of eat it up, and compared to Steve heād be just fine with getting his tongue down this Thorās brother throat and GOD, I have sooo many thoughts about this trio. I imagine Bucky initiating the scene, start making out with Loki, and they both start telling each other how pretty the other is, and Steve is just.. watching with his eyeballs popping out of his skull, and theyād just give Steve little glances while kissing and touching each other, and maybe they open each other up fully ready for Steve to fuck them both.
So yep, thank you for your time š«£ and also hope youāre doing well <3333
Oh, you underestimate how much of a slut I am, lmao, if the smut is good, the smut is good š
I've not personally thought much about Steve and Loki (though I have encountered some damn fine Steve and Thor smut in my time) but you bring up some delicious thoughts š
I could totally buy Loki having a weird thing about Steve, like, he won't call it a crush, but there is something about this mortal. He's so rigid on the exterior. His morals do not bend. He gets into trouble but only when it suits him. I can see Loki finding Steve fascinating. Also, of course, he has eyes. Steve is very striking.
I also really like Bucky fucking going for it. Shit, I don't think Steve nor I would complain about those two pretty, long-haired men getting more acquainted š
Thank you to the writers who keep putting Marvel men on their knees, it's the best thing to happen since Captain America: The Winter Soldier šš
Okay, also, my immediate two thoughts after reading this were:
1. I wouldn't mind seeing Loki--mischievous, trickster, and rule-breaking Loki--getting 2012!Steve to loosen up at little. He's so young and still so rigidly clinging to what he thinks everyone wants him to be, he doesn't know how to turn off, and he's so lonely. So, Loki comes along and presents a challenge. Loki wears him down, teasing him, goading him, getting under his skin until Steve snaps and Loki just smirks sharply, knowing, firmly, he has him.
2. Oh my fucking god, the shapeshifting, can you imagine if Loki had the motive to get Steve on his side for whatever reason? So, he decides to make a honeypot mission out of it, tricking and seducing Steve by transforming into Bucky... Loki is a changed being, knowing how voraciously and passionately Steve kisses, mistaking him for his lost lover. Ouch, though, my fucking feelings.
So, thanks to you too, lol. I will take your thoughts and repay you with some of my own, haha
(Regarding the Landoscar dsmp au you're talking about)
YES!!! DO IT!! Join me in the crossover/multi fandom shenanigans!!! >:D /lh
Fr I would be so interested to see it š
this ask has been sitting in my inbox for about 39 years now but I have actually had a think about it so here I go
basically I think AU-ing anything into the DSMP would be incredibly challenging because it doesn't have many concrete universe rules. like we know hybrids and whatnot exist, we have the base universe of minecraft (minus the End ig) and the most defined part of the lore is the revival system which is a bit difficult to do anything with tbh
the way to make this interesting (and viable) would be to assign DSMP factions to the drivers and try imagining WHEN and WHY they would have chosen to align with those ideas and people (again this pretty much requires coming up with a new plotline which I'm a little too hyperfixed on the dbh au for atm) (you can pretty much reimagine the whole "plot" of the DSMP with the factions and main plotpoints being kept actually hmmmmmm just the relations changing. potential there.)
like imagine Landoscar (non-americans) with early L'Manburg meanwhile Logan is stuck outside. pure angst potential
my cTubbo (and cSchlatt and cDream) enjoyer brain also very very much wants to draw them as goat/deer hybrids because uhh yes. or just give them horns like the fandom did with cTommy
okay real question what happens when a hybrid character with horns gets revived. white horn maybe....
another big ol' questionmark would be how the drivers' lives could be adapted into the story. one thing that comes to mind is how Oscar moved to England alone at like 14, which my brain immediately associates with cTubbo. or Lando growing up as a shy kid with very little friends, very reminiscent of clingyduo in L'Manburg with the whole getting lifelong trauma thing
basically my thesis is that Landoscar (and Loscar actually) are clingyduo. I am not open to critiscism at this time (I actually am do please discuss this with me there's only a low chance I'll bite you)
I would point out that there is SO much angst potential with the whole L'Manbirg to Pogtopia and Manburg to everything that went on in the prison thing and I haven't even brought up cWilbur yet (the character and the person make me ill in such different ways urgh)
a thing (definitely one of my favorite things at that) about the DSMP is how EVERYONE is a main character depending on who you choose to follow, which is incredibly similar to how F1 works tbh so shockingly enough that's actually easy to adapt
another aspect I had a think about was dsmp character to driver associations which I honestly really want to do a questionnaire on and like make a research post about (someone actually did something similar to this about fandom to F1 pipelines go look at it it's very interesting)
my hypothesis is that associating single characters to drivers would be relatively simple (just a question of what role they play in their respective communities really, plus what vibes they give off lmao) BUT making those connections with groups/duos/trios/etc like actually reimagining the system would yield different results to singular associations. which is just a result of different environments having different ecosystems ig but it would be interesting to see nonetheless. in my brain some DSMP characters' roles would be filled by several drivers and some drivers would take on several roles at the same time which is absolutely fascinating to me
I think. that's all the thoughts I had about that (miight make a post about my driver-character associations at some point but I wanna sit down and have a proper think about that first) (all I'm saying is that Alex Albon is cRanboo)

cass i can feel my sanity slipping away i want the rift things to be connected so bad. i need to know what it would mean for characters on both servers. are they just alternate universes? the same people with amnesia or something? did pearl just ascend from empires to hermitcraft and now theyāre going to meet and oli will be the only one who remembers? except he wasnāt on empires 1 so he only knows her from when she dropped him in empires 2. ahhhhh!
pebbl you get me on a spiritual level. the brainrot is so real with this potential crossover i'm actually feeling like i need to chew on a wall or something
from a character perspective this is fascinating because all the empires cc's are playing it in character so it's not like they are just getting onto hermitcraft to support some friends. this is full c! which opens up the doors to so much character building
and then there's pearl! don't even get me started on pearl! technically she's a goddess, kind of, but she's also a member of hermitcraft so is she the only deity among the hermits? or are all hermits gods? lmao
not only all of that (oh god i didn't even consider the levels of mindfuckery that is oli!) BUT if the empires folk do cross through the rift, what side will gem and false be on??? will they be hermits or crossing over with the other empires? what does this mean for their characters??
I know the possibility of this crossover actually happening is tiny but the "what ifs" are so tantalising I need it to happen lol
wait i wanna hear the conversation about how cass processes her anger
(its been so long since i made the original tag, but i hope you like this verifiable essay zaed lmao) (and uh, LONG POST warning for everyone else. this is a good 3k of Cited/Summed-Up Issues and Meta about Cassā Batgirl run)
The reason why Cass processes differently from Bruce is because their traumas have different origin points and therefore have manifested differently. While Bruceās vigilante drive is in avenging those who have been wronged and bringing villains to justice (bc of his perceived āfailureā to save his parents/bring Chill to justice), Cassā drive is all about her absolution (bc of her continuous guilt for taking a life & later for any other person she feels she āfailedā along the way). That being said, while Cass herself is not a typically angry character, the anger that she displays throughout Batgirl (2000) usually has one of three origin points; the vindictiveness towards criminals that sheās learned from Bruce, her unresolved anger towards her father & mother, or the special cases, often where her inhibitions have been selectively lowered due to outside forces. Given that Cass is never given many healthy options to channel this anger, however, is how she ends up emulating Bruce, and is what makes exploring her anger so fascinating.
With that, letās dive through the canon & Cassā journey in Batgirl (2000).
For the fandom thing, Robin hood bbc? And for the character one, guy of gisborne?
Ahhh Rouke I love you so much for this!
Robin Hood BBC:
Favorite character: Guy of Gisborne (who else? I blame Richard Armitage, Sarah Kennedy on radio 2 for planting the idea in my head, and my easily swayed 12 year old self. But also he's a good fucking character lol)
Least favourite character: uhhh as a *character* probably Robin. Literally such an arrogant piece of shit who rarely acknowledges his own privilege (when it comes to his gang and the fact that he's a noble and they're...not) or his own faults. And we're still meant to see him as the ultimate good guy/hero. Pass.
5 favourite ships:
- Guy/Marian (I want to be clear though, this is one of those ships where the character dynamic is absolutely fascinating and a joy to watch, but I honestly don't think it actually becoming canon would be a) a good story or b) good for either of them)
- Guy/Allan (just. I fucking love how Allan gives no shits and treats Guy like a normal fucking human. He calls him Giz! And that dream Guy has about both Marian AND Allan massaging his shoulders while sweet talking him...I'm just saying. Anyway as opposed to Guy/Marian I actually think these two are good for each other and I wish their dynamic had been explored more, especially when Guy joins the outlaws in s3 but it's not explored *at all*)
- Marian/friendship with any female character. Fucking seriously. Let her vibe with Djaq (although ig I hc Djaq as nb. Any non-male character then) and bitch about the boys. PLEASE. She needs it.)
- Marian/Allan friendship (I'm realising doing this that I care far more about the friendships in this show than the romantic relationships. But seriously, these two people are in exactly the same position in opposite sides ie spies for the various teams, and that's fascinating, especially as Allan still protects Marian/has her back after he's found out. They probably kind of mildly dislike each other at first but it's bc they see a lot of their worst selves in each other. But honestly together these two can rule the world with banter and pure deviousness)
- Much/literally anyone who respects and values him as a person I'm begging you pleassssee (seriously, he gets this for like half an episode with Eve, which is lovely, but then it's back to being the butt of the Gang's jokes and Robin's punching bag/servant/""best friend"". And when Much wants any kind of display of friendship and affection from Robin, Robin makes fun of it and acts like it's such a chore. Ugh.)
Character I find most attractive: Guy of Gisborne started off my lifelong Richard Armitage obsession so it can't be anyone else. That is a beautiful, beautiful man. Marian is also gorgeous.
Character I would marry: Djaq or Much
Character I would be best friends with: literally all of Team Castle - Guy bc he badly needs /someone/ to be his friend (although I doubt he'd let me), Allan bc he'd be hilarious, Marian bc we could bitch about everyone and just have some good times. Ultimately Allan is probably the kind of person I'd be most likely to befriend irl.
A random thought: @Robin King Richard sucks bro and when he dies Prince John is gonna be king anyway, monarchy as a concept sucks anyway, consider dismantling it instead of putting all your faith in things getting better when the king returns
An unpopular opinion: I actually don't hate s3 the way much of the fandom seems to? Yes it was a trainwreck (hello? Have you watched this show? The whole thing is a trainwreck) and I hate that Marian died but I do think it went some interesting places we hadn't been before, especially re Guy (who lbr is the character I care most about). Don't get me wrong, it didn't do it very well, but I rewatch it more than s1.
My canon OTP:....uhhhhhh....does Guy/Marian count?? They're not really an OTP anymore though (although they used to be when I was like. 13.) They just have a cool dynamic.
My non-canon OTP: Guy/Allan ig
Most badass character: Marian, 100%. Especially s1 Marian. Icon. Queen of guerrilla fighting and sassy comebacks and saying fuck you to men.
Most epic villain: I guess the Sheriff? Idk about epic but he is the epitome of cartoonishly evil, which is fun to watch. Love to hate him.
Pairing I am not a fan of: Robin/Marian š¤¢š¤¢š¤¢ (not saying it's bad if you ship it lmao, Robin is kind of a dick but it's more I can't stand how unbearably cheesy it is)
Character I feel the writers screwed up: What character DIDN'T they screw up? But I feel like they screwed over Isabella the worst. They made her seem unreasonably evil when her anger was entirely 100% valid and fair.
Favourite friendship: None of the friendships I actually enjoy were written to their full potential. But I guess Guy and Allan?
Character I most identify with: Allan or Djaq
Character I wish I could be: wouldn't want to be in her situation but would love to be as badass as Maz
Guy of Gisborne:
How I feel about this character: my terrible overdramatic emo son. Wish he could have had a proper redemption arc without killing Marian.
Any/all people I ship romantically with this character: Marian and Allan. And I guess Meg for the brief moment in time where that was a thing.
My favourite non-romantic relationship for this character: I know we only get a hint of it (and she dies) but I love Guy's relationship with Ghislaine. I just feel like they had such a loving relationship and then it all went to hell :( I also kind of think both Guy/Marian and Guy/Allan might work better/be more interesting as friendships
My unpopular opinion about this character: tbh in this fandom even liking him is an unpopular opinion to a lot of people š I think if you took away the sheriff, he'd treat Marian better than Robin treats her (I mean, in some ways he already does but also like...he burns her house down soooo)
One thing I wish had happened with this character in canon: oh boy so many things. But the two places my mind goes most often are 1. Escaping the castle (with Allan and/or Marian), probably after Treasure of the Nation (ie my favourite RH episode of all time) and either joining the gang (equal parts hilarious and angsty) or starting a life somewhere new, away from all this bullshit and 2. Just more gang shenanigans after he joins them in s3. We had some, which was great, but I would have love to see more, to see him grudgingly becoming the weird ex villain friend and then actually building relationships with some of the gang
Favourite friendship: Allan
My crossover ship: Guy + therapy (also I'm sure I've thought about this before but I really can't think of a good answer). Maybe Eleanor Shellstrop (as friends)? I feel like that would be a fun dynamic to explore.
