resisting the itch to start writing a canon compliant story of if Eveline had gotten the family she wanted with Ethan and Mia. Like Eveline 'tests' Ethan by letting The Bakers do their usual stuff in the story and having him kill them (just like in canon) but in the ship, Mia ends up succumbing to her control before she could save Ethan from the little mold wall
Letting her burrow into his head before prying him out.
And the story continues and shows how it affects him. I mean as seen in RE8 he wasn't really affected by her control until that moment where Eveline showed up and told him what he was, mold.
OR
the itch to write a story of if Ethan Winters ended up a Lord in RE8 because Mother Miranda brought him/found him before Chris in RE7 and recognized he could be the key to making the vessel for her Eva.
The experimentation causing him to awaken that control over the mold a bit more, making him the fifth Lord
or a version where Rose and Mia ended up saved by Chris and his crew already, but it was too dangerous to go down and tell/find Ethan. Leaving him there with the idea he was abandoned and his wife and daughter were truly dead. Leading him to become the fifth Lord, and feared by the others AND Mother Miranda because he almost killed all of them to get to his daughter
