" ㅤferris rasped through his teeth . he was far too enamoured with the dish before him to pause on his chewing ; LAMB'S HEAD . the man had at some point during his meal grown frustrated with the cutlery and decided to peel off the rest of the head's fleshy cheeks with his own two hands . thick fingers were shiny with the gelatinous contents of his supper and his dark eyes were glued to the lamb's own . the guy looked like a damn animal ( but who could blame him ? ) . he hadn't had a proper meal in days ! after wandering for weeks throughout open land , annabelle's little saloon had been a sight for sore fucking eyes .
his overenthusiastic eating caused one of his elbows to knock his empty beer cup onto the floor and , ferris o'phelan who had every intention to eat and drink until he passed out , instinctively bent to grab it ㅤ─ ㅤ it was then that he noticed the seam of anabelle's dress . his gaze slowly climbed over her skirt , her bodice , her lovely neckline ... and when ferris found the barmaid's eyes it looked as if THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME HE HAD LOOKED AT HER ; really looked at her . ferris rubbed his mouth against the sleeve of his shirt .

" ㅤsomething cracked between his teeth when he spoke that horrible sentence into existence ; cartilage perhaps . or just a shard of bone from the animal's skull ... either way , he didn't seem to care because he still offered annabelle a rotten grin while lifting the cup from the table .
