#wheeler updates

So, I’ve been on hiatus since March 29, 2023. I told myself and you all that I would work on my requests when I had the time, but I wouldn’t promise anything. Since then, I’ve been trying my best to take some things slowly but I find it’s really hard to have time to write in between studying for exams, talking with my friends, and time for my own enjoyment too. That and it’s been very difficult to write, as motivation and time to write is hardly there.

However, I’ve come to realize that I can’t write those requests. Or those posts. Or anything for Genshin Impact, as I no longer play the game for my own enjoyment now. And I find it’s hard to write for something that I can’t connect with or have a passion for anymore. I also found that for the year and a half that I’ve written on this blog, I only played Genshin Impact for the purposes of character research/analysis and grinding. I also no longer have the time to invest into the game.

Because of this, I will no longer be writing on this blog. 

I knew from day one of creating this blog that it would only be something temporary, but I’m surprised I lasted this long. I’m really happy to say that I have had an amazing experience with this blog. I’ve made many great friends through this blog and I hope to stay in contact with many of them after leaving. Additionally, I have grown as both a person and a writer thanks to all of the support I’ve received on this blog. It hurts me that I no longer have the time or motivation to pour into this blog anymore, as I know many of you have found comfort from my fanfiction. However, I thank you for being a part of my journey.

Before I leave, I have some questions that I’ll quickly answer:

Are you deleting this blog?

No, I’m simply archiving it. I want people to still have access to my work and be able to read it as many times as they want. However, I would greatly appreciate it if my work was not translated or republished on another blog or website. (If it has been, please contact me and I’ll handle the situation.)

Are you deleting tumblr?

No. I’ll still be able to talk to mutuals and other people who want to reach out. However, notifications for this blog will be muted. 

Will you write for other fandoms?

Maybe, if I have the time. Right now I’m trying to focus on highschool, friends, and my boyfriend. As well as that, I want to pour time into writing my actual ideas for books that I hope to publish one day or another. 

If there’s any other questions I missed or didn’t answer, please send them through my inbox. I might not get to it right away, though.

in 5 days from now, on august 10th, i will be leaving for a vacation. i’ll be traveling to the other side of my country visiting family. when visiting them i will NOT be having any access to reliable internet, meaning i won’t be able to publish anything. i don’t mind this fact, actually, and i want to take this time to go “offline” (if you will).

i won’t be returning until august 31st, and maybe not until then if my flight is rescheduled. i also won’t be publishing/queuing any posts while away, as i wouldn’t be able to update my masterlist, receive feedback, or interact with you guys. so if you send me an ask/tag me while i’m away, i won’t be responding to it anytime soon.

i’m letting you all know this so 1) you’re aware, and 2) know that i’ll be a-okay and did not dip off the face of the earth. 

in the coming days, i might or might not publish a few works... not sure yet as i can’t work in this heat. i’m currently fixated on working on some requests before i leave, so when i do get back i will be able to prepare for school instead.

so it’s been around ten days since i made my 250 event post!! i’m very thankful for requests that i’ve gotten!! however, i will be closing the event requests on may 20, 2022 at 7:59 pm PST. so if you want to send in requests, please do!!! i don’t mind!!

that’s all i wanted to say. i do hope everyone’s week goes well <3

so it appears that writer's block has hit me full force, while i'm in the middle of preparing for exams. I know I said earlier in the week I would have 1 peice out, but I am really debating posting anything atm.

in other words: i'll be taking the rest of the month off. this means I'll probably not interact as much, due to exam preparation. to lessen distractions, I'll be also logging out of tumblr for a bit. this is to make me more focused!!! and I promise that I'll let you guys know when the posting will happen again!!

also, in the following weeks i will be prepping for exams. my exams will be all finished up by the 13th of june, but i still need to do other things alongside prep. (aka learn the remaining material on those exams omfg)

so, what i’m saying is i might go unexpectedly quiet over the coming weeks, only posting one writing piece a week. and i might even need to take an unexpected break too, so... please be patient with me?

i will have to delay my saturday post to being a sunday post, as i’ve had a sudden influx of school work. i still need to finish and edit the piece as well, so i might have to post it at a much later time on sunday. 

i’d like to just put a quick thank you to everyone who has requested <3 sorry that my event has been so confusing to navigate, i promise other events won’t be! (this is a learning experience for us all, lol)

please make sure to take care of yourselves!! it is getting much warmer for the majority of the people in the world, so please wear sunscreen and hydrate yourselves. also, please be kind to each other!! next time you see someone pretty let them know!!! i guarantied it’ll make their day, and they might even give you a compliment!!!
