“It always looks so lovely at sunset.” Emperor gives Metry’s hand a squeeze, arms resting on their little cabin’s table as he watches the coastal scenery pass by. Fiery orange and pink setting over the indigo ocean, the black stone cliffs below the tracks.Â
The ride to the resort had, in the past, been more fun for him than the time he spent there. Last year there had been hardly anything going on, his parents had been occupied by something or other and left him and Prince on their own. The most exciting event had been when someone had tossed a cooked turkey into the pool.Â
This time, though, Metry was with him, and he’d get to spend some precious time with her while they were both on break. Even if they ended up doing little more than hanging out in the pool and terrorizing the buffet, it would be more than worth it.Â
