hiya, I completely agree. I don't think the source is reliable to be honest, why would she suddenly announce this? It seems so unnecessary & unlikely.
I know, it was such a random comment. I mean it has been almost 7 years since the last book and the first thing she wrote back in the 90âs was the epilogue, if throughout the storyline she felt Hermione should not have been with Ron, she could have changed it. But now? 7 years later, really?
She wrote Ron and Hermione beautifully, she said they love each other in an interview after DH: "Ron and Hermione, however, are drawn to each other because they balance each other out. Hermioneâs got the sensitivity and maturity thatâs been left out of Ron, and Ron loosens up Hermione a bit, gets her to have some fun. They love each other and they bicker a bit, but they enjoy bickering, so we shouldnât worry about it."Â
She has been giving hints about them in interviews through the release of the previous books: Hermione would see the trio âalive and unscathed and Voldemort finishedâ in the Mirror of Erised. She may also see herself in a romantic embrace.â  I mean she planned this for 17 years and now thinks itâs a mistake?!Â
"Harry & Hermione are platonic friends, "but I wonât answer for anyone else, nudge, nudge, wink, wink."
Harry/Hermione shippers âneed to go back and reread.â
I just need a statement from her to see if she actually said it, I mean, I canât believe this is happening.
