She keeps her warm
Picture this. Its a cold afternoon. It's windy, its turbulant. Two girls are huddled up in a dark empty classrom with words scribbled on a washed out whiteboard. One is chewing spearmint gum whilst another is playing with the other girls hands. One girl rubbed mint lotion on the other girls hands.. both girls look into each others eyes. And they both lean in for a kiss. Or several kisses because one kiss for the girl with the spearmint gum and lotion has the meaning of a thousand words so what would a thousand kisses mean? One of the girls put her head on the others shoulder. The girl with gum was writing a letter for the girl. She keeps her warm. With her freedom and her kisses and her kindness and calm nature and cheeky smile and smiling eyes. The girl with the gun knew that her girl would forever keep her warm

I don’t miss the smell of strong coffee or the shadowy silver light on your face in the theater, or the way you looked at me-eyes green and gray like the sky during a storm.
I don’t miss holding your hand. It wasn’t yours to hold yet. And I was too small, too innocent, not ready to let anybody hold my hand, let alone my heart. Did I scare you away? Or did you just decide I wasn’t worth the wait? Remember, I don’t miss you. I’m older now. and I certainly don’t miss feeling like a ragdoll that can be tossed around. I don’t miss that song we both loved that I played all the time when you weren’t with me.
I don’t miss dreaming every hour that we might actually have a future. I don’t miss pretending to dance with you in my room. I don’t miss waiting for you to write back, every day wondering if I’d see a letter in the mail. Or even just a text. a phone call. I don’t miss feeling the hot tears down my cheeks, listening to that same song that use to be my dancing song. Because I knew it had all been a hoax.
