Restrictions on Submitted Art and Literature: -All creations must be made specifically for the event. -Works must be G or PG rated (think of what is shown on Steven Universe). -No cursing/swear words -No blood, gore, violence, death -No nudity -No NSFW/sexual content -No ships with Steven and/or Connie (or other background characters their age) with any gems (they are minors). -No traced or recolored work of someone else’s art (unless it’s a base); we want your original content! This includes photoshopping another person’s work to fit the theme of the event. -Canon gems are allowed, but all works MUST have at least one gemsona referenced. -No roleplay threads -Playlists are allowed, but make sure the songs do not have sexual references and curse words/slurs are censored.

The difference between her and canon Aqua is that she’s able to summon her wand, but she has the same powers as canon Aqua.

Blue Amber looked pretty pearl-ish, so I wanted to make her another ‘not technically a gem’ gem, since I didn’t think a pearl would just be hanging out on her own in front of Blue Diamond. I’m not really sure about her personality other than she definitely thinks she’s more important than she actually is because she’s ~rare~

A uncorrupted variation of the tongue gem for @gemsonaresources #whatgemisthat event I decided to keep her design simple but have some minor detail to it, so I gave her a cape! Also I thought the gem type of Peruvian opal works well with her colour scheme. Funnily enough I had had a design for this gem made up (because I was practicing thirty minute designs from corrupted gems) before the event but it was old so I gave it a quick revamp so I hope you all like it. (If it looks messy I’m sorry It’s like past three in the morning and I can’t sleep.)

For @gemsonaresources's #WhatGemIsThat Event! (sorry it's late!) This is Taaffeite~ She's based off of a gem sillouhette from the Answer (pictured above) Taafeite's saccharine design accentuates her dogmatic ideals; though her job is to be an advising "specialist" on organic life to her Pink Diamond, all she really does is spout belitling, propagandic lies and misinformation about humans to other Homeworld uppercrusts. I tried to design Taafeite to have a similar aesthetic to Pink Diamond herself, though she probably turned out a little more sophisticated. Thanks for the fun event!

     Ussingite is first seen in the episode “The Answer” as a silhouette. Ussingite is a noble gem that resides in Blue Diamond’s court. She is lower on the nobility hierarchy, but is accepted as upper class. This is due to her rarity and unique ability to make accurate math calculations quickly. Her weapon is a small, thin thorn.      Ussingite was a witness to the first fusion between different gemstones. At first, Ussingite was utterly disgusted and angered by this event. She would rant and rave to her fellow gems about the ‘repulsive’ nature of mixed fusions until they were sick of hearing her speak.      Overtime, as the Gem War went into full swing, her views changed. She realized that she was just parroting the backwards views that Homeworld had taught the gems. Ussingite truly did not believe that Garnet’s fusion was something to be upset about, but rather a discovery to celebrate.      Ussingite proceeded to join a secretive rebel group consisting of noble gems that wished to dismantle the hierarchy, even at the expense of their high status. She later escaped with these gems to another planet that had not been colonized by Homeworld. On this planet, the gems lived freely and happily. Ussingite would try fusing for the first time in her life, learning what a magical experience Garnet had years back.
