Especially fascinating is how it SUBVERTS its own implied conventions... the sun, for instance, does not bring with it a dark sky... nor, as I’m sure many of you are aware, should the moon appear in the light. And what can we glean from the hatching-like MOTIF? Is this a METAPHOR for the artist’s inner turmoil, falling apart at the edges the way her sanity inevitably will, and not simply a low-effort, completely meaningless attempt to sPiCe Up her “I’m having art block” warmup piece?
