I just had a really awful brilliant idea! Hear me out: rottmnt x "I have no mouth and I must scream"
Leo, once charismatic and intelligent, now turned into a sarcastic, paranoid pessimist. The krang (this universe's version of AM) loves to mess with his mind, convincing him that his siblings grew to hate him for losing the key. Like Ted, he would be the narrator.
"Raph had been a brilliant leader, much better than I ever was; now he was little more than a semi-human, semi-beast. He had been hopeful, the machine had ruined that. He had been lucid, the machine had driven him mad. He had been caring, and the machine made him not recognize his own family. The Krang had done a job on Raph.
Donnie had been a worrier. He was a scientist, inventor; he was a man of change; he was a planner, a doer, a looker-ahead. The Krang had turned him into a shoulder-shrugger, had made him a little dead in his concern. The Krang had robbed him.
April went off in the darkness by herself for long times. I don't know what it was she did out there, the Krang never let us know. But whatever it was, April always came back pale, drained of blood, shaken, shaking. The Krang had hit her hard in a special way, even if we didn't know quite how.
And Mikey. That douche bag! The Krang had left him alone, had made him more of a whiner than he had ever been. All his talk of sweetness and light, all his memories of family love, all the lies he wanted us to believe: that he wasn't happy with his family staying by his side forever. No, the Krang had made his dream come true, all of us together, for eternity, even if he said it wasn't what he always wanted.
I was the only one still sane and whole. Really! The Krang had not tampered with my mind. Not at all. I only had to suffer what he visited down on us. All the delusions, all the nightmares, the torments. But those traitors, all four of them, they were lined and arrayed against me."
