Shipboard Artificial Intelligence - Or SAI
an AI the crew of The Memoriter (Claudia’s ship) salvaged from a junkyard.
He does not appreciate being called a good boy. This is one of the preset templates.
Where even the stars still shine.
I won't bore you too much with the history of the rise of the greatest empire our people have ever seen. The empire of Earth is the most expansive and powerful the universe and all the surroundings have ever witnessed. No warmongering peoples, or other such aliens have even come close.
Earth expanded quickly. Not the planet, but the idea. Something about our people's constant hunger for knowledge and power, and the fact that nothing could stand in the way of that hunger, helped the empire grow as quickly as it did. A mere 100 years after the advent of space travel, there were colonies on two of the nearest inhabitable planets. After that the seeds of Earth life spread far and wide. And of course, we ran into alien species eventually, but if anyone were to be our downfall it would be our own doing.
That was centuries ago, wars have come and gone, technology has constantly grown along with our peoples. So much so that no household is complete without a handful of automata.
But, I digress, I record this merely for the posterity of myself, my crew and our mission. Not for the glorification of the enfeebled empire.
The good doctor says any good captain would keep a record of their travels. He plays on my ego all too well.
So I may or may not keep this up.
