I’m really glad @spotify is supporting women with their #throwbackthursday especially with everything going on as of late. You would honestly think we were living back in the 1920s as much as we have to rally and fight for basic rights. It’s 2017 and it shouldn’t be that way. But as @theellenshow said as girls we were taught to be pretty and not speak up. But that’s not how it should be or should’ve been. Every woman/Girl should be okay with speaking their mind, being strong, dressing the way they want, and loving who they want. It shouldn’t be a crime. It shouldn’t be decided by a man what I do to my body. It’s my body. It’s every girls own body to do as they please. Maybe that’s honestly why I am the way I am today and thankful for how I was brought up. I was always told to be nice but I’d always say my peace. Working at a hardware store for almost 10 years will definitely give you that back bone. Especially when one of your men colleagues has to ask you the same question a male customer just asked you and dismissed your answer. I just think it’s sad it took some asshole for allllll these women to speak up.
