summary: (Y/n) Lupin wants to meet her boyfriend Draco in Diagon Alley but there she only meets Harry, Ron and Hermione. Together they follow (Y/n)s boyfriend and discover something none of them understands. Only (Y/n) dares to follow Draco into the creepy shop and detects something really bad.

MASTERLIST REQUEST RULES

As quiet as possible (Y/n) Lupin walks out of her room and into the dark corridor. While she goes downstairs on tiptoes, she shoulders her backpack and looks around herself to be sure that no one sees her. Under no circumstances may her father discover what she is doing because he would ask questions (Y/n) would like to avoid. Even if he knew the truth, her father would never allow her to go because he hates the boy too much, which (Y/n) wants to visit.

As soon as she reaches the last step, she hears an alarming creak and immediately turns around. Her father stands in front of her and has a confused look on his face. For one second (Y/n) considers lying but rejects this thought really fast because she knows that her dad can see it when she isn‘t telling the truth.

„What are you doing here, (Y/n)? Aren‘t you supposed to do homework?“, asks Remus Lupin and inspects her backpack, which seems to be filled with many things.

(Y/n) swallows hard and can‘t keep eye contact. If he knew where she was heading, then he would completely despise her.

„Hey, honey. I‘m not mad at you. Just tell me the truth and we will figure it out“, says Remus and lays a hand on (Y/n)s shoulder. Finally she takes her attention from the ground and looks into his eyes.

„I wanted to go…to…“, she stammers and fiddles nervously with her hands. It‘s obvious that she is afraid to tell her father about her friend. Remus‘ expression brightens up and confuses (Y/n) even more. Something that she doesn‘t know is that her dad already knows about Draco Malfoy and the relationship between the two teenagers.

„Oh, you want to visit Draco?“, he asks with a small smile on his lips and looks into (Y/n)s shocked eyes. (Y/n) interrupts their eye contact again and stares with tears in her own eyes onto the ground. How could she be so dump and try to conceal such a relationship from her dad? He probably thinks about giving her away. „Everything is okay“, Remus tries to calm his daughter down with a hand on her cheek. With that he also forces her to look into his eyes. „I‘m not mad at you because you love a person I…ehm…don‘t like.“

This sentence brings (Y/n) to take a deep breath and let the tears disappear. She is so relieved that her dad isn‘t angry with her.

„But I‘m mad at you that you tried to leave without saying goodbye. These are terrible days, (Y/n), you know that“, Remus tells his daughter with a serious undertone in his voice.

„I‘m sorry, dad“, whispers (Y/n) with a shaking voice and gives her dad a hug. At first Remus Lupin is surprised by the hug but then he returns it and presses a kiss to (Y/n)s forehead. He would be so sad if she had really left without saying goodbye. „So…I‘m allowed to go, right?“, smiles (Y/n) and points to the door behind her. After a while her dad nods and opens the door for her.

Although she is allowed to go now, (Y/n) hesitates because she knows how worried her dad can get when she is somewhere else than at home. Even during her schooldays in Hogwarts her father sometimes sends her worried letters.

„Just promise me that you wont do stupid things and get home tomorrow around midday“, her father says and gives (Y/n) once again a kiss on her forehead. (Y/n) closes her eyes and sets off to Diagon Alley.

Once there she realizes that she is to early and decides to go into one of the shops to buy Draco a present. After all she was separated from Draco for more than a month. Quite fast she chooses Fred and Georges shop – Weasleys‘ Wizard Wheezes. On the one hand because she knows that Draco has a weakness for chocolate, on the other hand because she wants to meet the twins and maybe Harry, Ron and Hermione. It‘s not that she is best friends with the trio but she is kind of relieved that they are there to save the day. And even though her boyfriend wont ever tolerate the three, she likes them.

As she enters the store a sweet scent fills her nose. A smile creeps up on her lips and she walks deeper into the store, in search of something Draco would love. It doesn‘t last long until she finds something for him. After she paid her boyfriends present she wants to leave the store but then she sees and recognizes Hermione, who is standing next to some love poison bottles. (Y/n) comes closer to her with a grin on her face and gives her a heartwarming hug.

„Wow, (Y/n) I didn‘t expect you here!“, Hermione says with a big smile on her lips. „But it‘s nice to see you. How were your holidays?“

For a long while the two girls talk about their holidays. (Y/n) tells Hermione about the wonderful weekend she shared with her dad in Paris. And Hermione talks about the things she did with family and friends. Talking about the devil, Ron and Harry turn up after Hermione ends her stories. They both greet (Y/n) with a small smile, probably because of the relationship (Y/n) has with Draco, their arch-enemy.

„Come on, let‘s go“, says Ron and sets off to leave his brothers shop. Finally outside (Y/n) takes a deep breath because the air inside the store was stuffy.

„How are Fred and George doing it? Half the Alley‘s closed down“, Hermione states with an excited voice, while they walk down the street.

„Fred reckons people need a laugh these days“, explains Ron and as (Y/n) is looking down the street, she realizes that actually most of the shops are closed – Olivander’s included.

„Oh no. Everyone got their wands from Olivander‘s“, Hermione says and the four teenagers stop in front of the shop. (Y/n) can remember the day she got her wand as if it was yesterday. Her dad was at her side and smiled every time she destroyed something with the wrong wand. When she finally got the right wand she smiled from one ear to the other and her dad patted her on the shoulder. At the same day she saw Draco Malfoy for the first time and to be honest: she hated him. He was the portrayal of a spoiled little brat. Until now (Y/n) doesn‘t know how Draco could change her opinion on him, but he did and that is everything that matters.

Only when the door of Olivander‘s closes with a loud sound, (Y/n) realizes that the trio entered the store. She follows quickly and stands in a destroyed room. There are sheets, books and some wands scattered on the floor. (Y/n) opens her mouth to say something but she can‘t find the right words.

„(Y/n)?“, she hears Ron saying her name, so she walks next to him. „Is it me, or does your boyfriend and his mummy look like two people who don‘t want to be followed?“, he asks and (Y/n) sees Draco next to Olivander‘s. Ron is right, he looks kind of haunted and nervous. At first (Y/n) wants to scream his name and run towards him but then he walks into the next ally. She quickly leaves the store and follows her boyfriend. The trio is right behind her, so that it‘s easy for Harry to grab (Y/n)s sleeve and hold her back.

„Please, don‘t run to him. Let us first see what they are doing and then you are free to do whatever you want, okay?“, Harry whispers to (Y/n) and after she nods, he follows Draco.

„He isn‘t doing something. He just…wanted to meet me..“, stammers (Y/n) but no one listens to her words. None of the three Gryffindors would ever believe her that Draco Malfoy isn‘t doing something bad. He is Satan in their eyes.

The alleys get smaller and darker. They walk past strange people. The walls are full of posters about dangerous people – one of them is Fenrir Greyback, whose name sounds familiar to (Y/n).

The darker their environment gets, the more hope loses (Y/n) that her boyfriend just wants to do something normal with his mother. As he is entering Borgin&Burke‘s (Y/n) loses her hope completely because she knows that this store is only for bad people – death eaters. She sees that he hesitates to walk into this shop but he still goes. The three look at (Y/n) for answers but she has none. This holiday she could only exchange a few letters with her boyfriend and even in them he was short tailed.

Of course the trio can‘t just stay in front of the shop, no, they must climb the nearest roof and watch what Draco and his mum are doing. First (Y/n) doesn‘t want to spy on her boyfriend but then her curiosity gets out of hand. Laying on this roof she feels stupid but then she sees all this dark clothed men around Draco. They are all standing around a weird looking cupboard. As Draco’s mum is giving her son a kiss, an angry face turns up and they must hide. But the one second (Y/n) could see the face of the fierce man she realizes that his name is Fenrir Greyback and finally (Y/n) knows why that name sounded familiar to her. This is the werewolf who bit her father.

(Y/n)s breathing gets faster and her heart is racing. Draco is one room with a wanted werewolf who has also turned her father into a monster. She can‘t sit still while Draco is in such danger, so she does the most stupid thing she could do in such a situation. She jumps of the roof, throws away her backpack and runs into Borgin&Burke‘s.

Her legs carry her into the shop and as she realizes how stupid she acted, it‘s too late. Everyone, including Draco, sees her. He opens his mouth to say her name but stays silent because he is afraid they will hurt him. Or worse: They will hurt her.

„What do you want, stupid girl?“, asks one of the dark clothed men. (Y/n) swallows hard takes one step back but there stands Greyback.

Narcissa Malfoy looks questioningly at her son which seems to get more and more nervous. As his mother she knows who is standing in front of her: (Y/n) Lupin, daughter of Remus Lupin and the girl her son loves. The only thing she can do in this situation is trying to calm her son down, even though he may he watch his girlfriend die. She lays a hand on Draco’s shoulder and whispers: „ You can‘t save her, Draco. Please stay silent.“

It‘s obvious that inside Draco’s head a war is raging. On the one hand he wants to help (Y/n) because he loves her and can‘t give up on her, on the other hand he needs to whitewash his family’s name. If he would run away with (Y/n), Voldemort would for sure kill his mother and father.

So he does the only thing that makes sense to him: stand there and hope that the death eaters spare (Y/n).

„I know you“, whispers Fenrir Greyback in (Y/n)s ear and therefore comes really close to her neck. (Y/n) can smell his disgusting bad breath. Draco can see tears glistening in her (e/c) eyes. „You are a Lupin.“ Fenrir Greyback’s smile turns into a frightening grin. „I remember the day when I bit him like it was yesterday. He screamed like a little girl; like you will scream after I bit you too.“

Those words are too much for Draco. He can‘t stand still anymore. With three big steps he stands directly in front of his scared girlfriend and the werewolf behind her. Only now does he realize that everyone is staring at him.

„Let her go, Greyback. She is still a child“, Draco says and tries to suppress the tremor of his voice. He doesn‘t dare to look at (Y/n) so he stares into the cold eyes of Greyback. This one only twitches with his shoulders.

„I like to bite children“, smiles Greyback and does not wait longer. He hits his teeth in her throat and blood is flowing immediately. (Y/n)s scream is bloodcurdling. Just as fast as Greyback bit her, he lets her go again. The young girl collapses on the floor. With one hand she tries to stop the bleeding on her neck.

Draco decides that now isn‘t the time to hesitate so he helps (Y/n) up and leaves the shop with her. No one is trying to stop them.

As soon as they are outside (Y/n) presses Draco away. She can‘t trust him anymore. He didn‘t do anything to help her. The things he told Greyback have only motivated the werewolf more.

From the corner of her her eyes she sees Harry, Ron and Hermione.

„Piss of, Potter“, whisper-yells Draco but Harry looks worried at (Y/n) which nods because she wants to talk with Draco in private. The trio goes hesitantly.

Draco gives (Y/n) a tissue with which she can wipe away the blood and also press onto her wound. For a moment it‘s silent but then (Y/n) begins to sob. These sounds break Draco’s already broken heart. He can‘t stand seeing her cry but that‘s what is happening right now. At first he thinks she doesn‘t want any body contact, especially from him, but then he realizes that he can‘t just stand next to her and do nothing. Not again. So he carefully puts his arms around her and let her cry onto his shoulder. Once in a while he whispers sweet nothings into her ears and kisses her forehead or nose. Those are the things that brought a smile back on (Y/n)s lips after she was upset but now it‘s different. She is a different person now – a werewolf.

„Hey, everything will be alright, darling. I will bring you back to your father. He will know what we need to do, alright?“, whispers Draco, takes (Y/n)s trembling hand and helps her walk home.

It does last longer than normal because they sometimes stop to calm (Y/n) down again. The problem is that she isn‘t just afraid about the whole werewolf-thing, no she is also afraid to tell her dad. A few hours ago she promised him to not do stupid things and that‘s exactly what she did.

As they finally arrive, Draco realizes that this could also bring him some trouble. He knows that Remus Lupin doesn‘t like him and if he sees him with his bitten daughter, he might overreact.

They both stop before the door and it‘s in that moment when (Y/n) realizes that she left her backpack in Diagon Alley and with it her key.
