#werewolf ask

i wonder who this could possibly be

anyways id be the classic werewolf thats more wolf than man and needs their loved one to drape their clothes over their fur to remind them of who they used to be

either that or a werewolf who howls, idk

AHHHH Ok- So, based off of the *common* media/mythology for the pups, there actually isn't VERY much I'm too overly fond of, especially with my own lore and all. BUT there are a few things I love, and lot of it is granted in the Werewolf community online!!~ I count those as tropes, so here's a few uwu

-> Shifting via internal-to-external changes. Van Helsing, Underworld, AWIL, anything that has the internal body changing and the external body growing and changing along with it. It's something I based my own wolf (or really ANY of my monster shifters) transformations on!!

-> P A C K U N I T S. Lone wolves are cool and all, and I do like them for small story purposes, but I'm a sucker for pack units. The 'family' kind, not the bullshit 'mean alpha male' kind. You know, like how realistic wolf packs work, with the 'alphas' being more the 'parents' of the group and caring for others instead of belittling them. Not many bits of media has that, admittedly, but you can bet your ass I'm instantly sucked in if that's a thing uwu (My favorite users of this trope specifically are actually some awesome friends of mine, @furiarossa !~ Their pack units are just **chefs kiss** fuckin beautiful. (Also, sorry for the tag, loves!! QuQ))

-> More anthro-looking wolves like Van Helsing!!! Not full feral like Twilight and DEFINITELY not more human like Wolfman. If you've got a big wolf dude/gal who's bipedal with human-ish traits but looks like an animal, you're automatically my favorite. (That's not to say I DON'T like the other two, but I definitely prefer the more monster anthro type trope. Obviously.)

-> Controlled transformation. Again, uncontrolled is also cool, but the trope of being able to shift at will is a legitimately wonderful thing I think, as well as being able to choose what form you prefer instead of being forced into one or the other. Not many media forms have this either, so it's also mostly a trope found in online communities

-> Big wolves is also a favorite of mine, like the giant good boi from Underworld uwu Like, the ones that are generally much taller than their human form.

It would defs depend on the werewolf or even werewolf type. But I would believe that most wolves are very loyal.
