Wenner Bread produces artisan bread dough for supermarkets and bakeries throughout the country. Wenner recognizes retiring employees with a celebration of their accomplishments and services for years of hard work. With limited time to come up with a meaningful and long lasting idea, East Coast Graphics had the unique idea!
On the cutting edge of technology for printing and promotional items East Coast came up with an idea to laser inscribe a 3D image into a crystal award. 3D Laser Imaging, also known as Sub-Surface Laser Engraving was the process of choice. This unique technology allows us to focus high powered laser beams inside crystal and then with awesome precision and high speed create images directly into the crystal without marking the exterior of the crystal. The finished result is an incredible 2D and/or 3D image.
The process was simple and results outstanding. Wenner sent ECG a multi-dimension color photo of the front, back, side and overhead of a porcelain baker holding a fresh baked loaf of bread. We scanned the images and combined them into a virtual 3D image and laser inscribed the crystal. Since retirees are not common, ECG inscribed 10 crystal awards to keep in inventory for personalization of future retirees. The Wenner Bread employee was ecstatic with the gift!
