Several pollinator species have been decimated. Visiting dignitaries were stuck for weeks/months while their ships were being repaired. Ice 3 to 6 inches deep.
Spawning fish populations in fjord damaged:
Cod (torsk) – often near the surface in warmer months.
Pollock (sei) and Haddock (hyse) – common in shallower waters, especially around rocky areas.
Mackerel (makrell) – abundant and often found close to the surface in fjords.
Herring (sild) – frequently swims in schools near the upper water layers.
Adult livestock would be acclimated enough to survive in barns for 3 days, and some babies too. Grain and vegetable crops are severely damaged.
The impact of these losses will have taken years to recover from without the aid of neighboring kingdoms, which makes to Elsa's decision to place an embargo on Weslton and the Southern Isles a really bad one. We know from All Is Found and Forces of Nature that Anna does reopen trade with those two kingdoms but it would have been a rough four years under Elsa's reign, feeding her fears of failure.
I think this summer my mutuals should come visit me (and help me do some light work around the apartment)
