I agree wholeheartedly. Kid looks like a big, jock idiot but he's so freaking smart. I mean, he's an engineer, you can't pull the shit he does without SOME smarts. Yeah I can build a lego brick house but I can't make it shoot freaking laser beams!

I love the idea of a book club on the Victoria Punk - @writing-yarn-goblin I KNOW you have some thoughts on this. I just know his ass reads ahead because he loves being informed ahead of everyone else. He won't volunteer information but he does chuckle like a jackass when someone misses plot points or context, and no he WON'T explain why its incorrect, he ain't doing the job for them!

He binds books he hates with metal and repels them into the ocean so they don't take up space in HIS library.

AHH great question!!!! I've actually hinted at this before in my OC fic Turn Back Time but essentially my headcanon is:

The Victoria Punk looked like a normal ship on her maiden voyage - not large, not as intimidating, maybe had their main jolly roger and their figurehead to make them stand apart from other ships sailing on the seas. Do you know that skull that sits on the ship? The not dinosaur one, this one?

I think that was the original ship figurehead. It was this skull with the teeth like railing back when the ship was less impressive as we've seen it now. We also know that Kid and Killer love being challenged, they refer to their enemies as their 'prey' or that 'its always fun hunting big game.'

I'm willing to bet that they came across an island with dinosaurs and after the initial shock/excitement wore off, Kid had a big brain moment. Kill the biggest bastard and stick his head on the prow. so they did.

After they took down their prize, Killer was like, 'hmm we're gonna need a bigger boat.' They either sailed to and from the island to get the supplies and tools they needed or used whatever resources were avialable, et cetera et cetera, by the time they got to Sabaody they had remodeled their ship to be the way it was when we first meet them. Nostalgic and unable to just throw away the original figurehead, the crew designed it to sit opposite of the new prow.
