Text Version that I wrote at MIDNIGHT last night:

The… abomination… stared into the mirror. Their discontorted faces staring back at them in a mesh of unrecognizable scrambled skin and muscle. They hated it. They hated it all that came with being- this.

The times they were kicked down by passerbyers.

The times they were shoved, scratched, dehumanized.

They released a shakey sigh, forcing themselves to look down at the sink.

They really needed to stop going back to that place. They were better now. They were famous! Loved by all!

But its the mask they love, after all. Isn't it?

They don't know their true face, just what they conjured up and put on for the show.

They looked over at the mask sitting on the counter beside them, shifting their entire upper body just to move their heads. The 3 masks merged into one, just like them. They reached for it, put it on, turned off the water, then looked back up at the mirror. This is was the people knew. This is what the people will remember. It should stay that way.

They stood up straight, fixing their hair. Smoothing it back into it's proper place.
