What are some of your favourite Stucky-related works that you've done?:
Great question, great opportunity to be self-indulgent! I personally am very fond of looking back over the fanart I've produced and almost every single piece I've done I still love and still gives me the warm fuzzies.
Some particular favourites:
Fanart of Fanart: Baby Steve and the Winter Soldier, from Hachinana87's Lone Wolf and Cub AU fancomic [link].Hachinana is one of my favourite and probably one of the most prolific Stucky fanartists out there. Their Lone Wolf and Cub AU is an absolute gem of the fandom and you should read it right now if you haven't ever! It's funny, cute, suspenseful, and full of emotion. I love the idea of protective, badass, slightly reluctant Bucky looking after innocent and devoted baby Steve. I really like the tender, slightly wistful, but still violent Bucky and his dedication to protecting Steve that I drew in my fanart of this AU.
My contribution to the 2015 Steve/Bucky D/s art exchange [Warning: NSFW and kinky!] The Stucky D/s art exchange is a really happy fandom memory. I'd not been in the fandom or drawing very long at all, and it was a time full of creativity and excitement about CA:TWS still. I got assigned to draw Stereowire's request, which super intimidated and inspired me, as they are another absolute favourite fanartist of mine.The resulting drawing took me longer than any I'd done so far at that point, and I was really happy with how it came out, and how hot yet tender it is! I am such a bottom!Steve fan... and I like to think that Cap's harness being used for an anal hook is one of my worthier contributions to the fandom.
This short comic about the ending of CA:TWS Idk, this one just still makes me feel a lot, and I like the grungy dark drawing style. What do you most love about Stucky/the Stucky fandom?:
So much- I love how the fandom has changed and evolved over time, I love how creative it is, how smart and perceptive, and how warm and welcoming and inclusive so many of the people in it are.What I love most about the pairing itself is how it keeps drawing you in- it's such a complex and sad story, and there are so many angles to it. I honestly don't think I could ever get tired of thinking (and suffering!) about it!
When was the moment that you shipped it?:
Mmm... Tough question! I think I had been seeing CA:TWS meta going round before I watched any of the movies and got intrigued by their relationship, and then the first few Stucky fics I read, which happened at the same time I watched the movies, really sealed the deal. The classic fics I particularly recall stomping on my heart and locking it in Stucky hell forever were United States v. Barnes by fallingvoices and radialarch, if the bad times are coming, let 'em come by suzukiblu, and Memory by emilyenrose.
