Spark
Lunafreya referred to it as a âchildhood crushâ. Aranea called it âhilariousâ. Ardyn suggested âa forbidden loveâ.
Ravus called it âpathetic piningâ. No matter the activity, the action, or words you spoke, he found himself captivated. Trapped. In this ridiculous, swarming spiral of emotions he grew so accustomed to hiding and suppressing. Even such a mundane task as you tapping your pen on the table, deep in thought as you reviewed documents, left him conflicted. He discovered his cheeks grew warm briefly, his eyes found their way to your location, and chest felt like it was on fire.
      He hated it.
As an person of high status, he was quite familiar with seasonal persons coming in and out of his life on a strictly professional level. Not that he did not mind, but it took him by surprise when you, in addition to a few others, were incredibly capable workers and supporters of House Nox Fleuret. Ravus found himself at odds as to how to approach this conflicting tug-of-war of emotions that struck him were in the longer you remained in his company. He felt it necessary to only remember certain characters in his life, and as time progressed, he remembered yours.
Unfortunately this day, you came close to the former prince; entirely too close. His heartbeat quickened, his words failing to even so much as leave his mouth. You had a distinct scent, and this particular day your fragrance struck him harder than it ever did. It struck when you were just centimeters from his person, removing what appeared to be something from his white frock coat. âItâs unlike you to ever have something on you, everything alright?âÂ
His initial response was to narrow his eyes and glare at you. A natural response. The same hardened, heterochromatic eyes that were always so judging and unforgiving. This look, as you grew accustomed to, was a standard expression from the High Commander, and learned to accept as his person. He was never one to show much emotion, with the rare signs of emotional shift in regards to his sister. Still, you noticed as he momentarily detracted from your question by turning away. It made you all the more concerned.
      âHigh Commander? Is everything alright?âÂ
As if a spell controlled him, he quickly found himself carefully taking your chin in his right hand before pressing his lips onto yours without a word. Securely he kept your body close to his, feeling your hand press against his chest instinctively upon his action. Had he been too bold? Was this too sudden? He cursed himself, for doing something so rash and so abruptly that was completely against his nature.
He began to pull away after his moment of confidence left him, but the moment he then felt you press up against him after seconds of silence, sparked something within him.
Hearing a soft whine come from you as you turned your head to deepen the kiss made Ravusâ heart beat even quicker than it already had been. The kiss ignited a sensation he long-since fought against, this overwhelming desire to have you. Your touch, your scent, your sounds, combined together were more vivid now than he had ever imagined.
His flesh hand moved from your chin to press against the left side of your face gently, his fingers resting in strands of your hair as if to hold you in place. The man seemed starved, hungry with anticipation to continue while you softly sighed and removed yourself momentarily from the kiss. Staring into your dazed expression, your lips rested just centimeters from his, and as if something called once more, you invited him to kiss you once more.
Greedily he planted his lips onto yours, his tongue gradually entering your mouth with each passing second. A noise of satisfaction encouraged him to pursue more, and the rush of emotions that flooded his mind controlled him entirely. He claimed your mouth, not realising he was steadily pushing you closer and eventually to, a wall without a second thought.Â
Parting, he listened to the long exhale escape your mouth and watched the flustered expression on your face persist. A soft warmness briefly crossed his own cheeks, but you were too dazed to even comment on it, or to speak for that matter. You tried to open your mouth to speak but stammered, failing, which prompted a soft chuckle from The Commander.Â
âYou are incorrigable,â you whispered in a teasing manner, turning away with pink-kissed cheeks.Â
âForgive me,â Ravus breathed into your ear.
