But I do agree. See, while the context is very creepy, it's a lot worse when they don't acknowledge it as it seems to be affirming it in a roundabout way. Sort of like the whole "William Afton being the one who survived the fire and gets unlimited power" sort of thing.

Now, if they DID address it and it was a plot point, that would be different. Then we suddenly have a terrifyingly real depiction of what William Afton is like. Something tangible and disturbing.

But I don't think they were ever going to go that angle, honestly. I don't think Steel Wool was reading too deeply into the implications and if the books are anything to go by- main lead is demoted to a prop of angst only to sacrifice herself to the antagonist's brainwashed daughter- no.

But that's a whole different story, literally. The point HERE is that the whole Vanny thing is really uncomfortable, and we couldn't even hear her side of what happened since she never got to speak for herself.
