Snatch. Leading to yesterday's competition, this movement is what I've been most scared and concerned with. Until 2 Saturday's ago, 135lbs has been my PR for the said movement; and, I am expected to lift that for as many reps as possible during the workout?!?! Obviously, I did what must be done which is practice, practice and practice. Added 10lbs to my PR. And coming in yesterday, I had a better mindset because I know I came preapred. Out of 7 lift attempts, I was able to lift 4. On all those successful lifts I would look like what the photos will show (see attached). 😋 My take away with this, I have this aggitated look when lifting. Jk. Definitely, hardwork is key. P.S. New Deadlift PR! After 8 months (took my last PR last June 2017) and also into my 8th week of the Hatch Squat Program (4 more weeks to go), I was able to exceed my previous deadlift PR, which was 225lbs. I was trying to reach 350lbs but I settled for 345lbs. Last PR Attempt of 2017 for Clean & Jerk. Added 20lbs to my previous 155lbs which makes my new PR 175lbs. I guess I'll add to my 2018 goals is to reach 200lbs for my C&J so our work here is not yet done. I got a rowing blister under my weightlifting callous. It ripped while I was lifting yesterday and today I took the dead skin off (ew, sorry)
Point is: My WL callous was thicker than a dime. A year of building that goddamn callous and now I'm back at square one
