Just last week, thatgirlisstacked asked me about my spreadsheet, I sent her an e-mail filled with way too much information and a sample doc for her to get started. And just TODAY, whiskeybentandhellbound told me about her awesome spreadsheet, and I gotta say that I am stoked that other people are finding it useful!
So now that you mention it, I made a Google Doc that you can view then copy and paste into your own and adjust it to fit your needs. I like to use a Google Doc because I can update it no matter where I am.
Also, below the cut is some ramblings that I already sent to Becca about using it. Of course, you are always welcome to send me a message and I’m happy to exchange emails and chat. Because the best way to keep at it is accountability!
The important thing is to make the goals realistic but also challenging (remember SMART goals? lol). I started off thinking about the things I wanted to do better (be a better employee, dental health, physical health, etc.) and what the things I need to do each day to achieve those goals. And also what are the things that I need to NOT be doing each day. I don't regularly eat candy or drink soda, so I didn't include those because they're not triggers for me (though now that I think about it, I should probably add chips as a -1 because man I love chips).
Some things are just not going to happen, like for me, 8 hours of sleep. I just enjoy my nights too much. Maybe it SHOULD be on there for that reason, but Alex and I are both late night people and I figured out that right now it's just not priority for me.
Also, I have "log calories" as a point, and then a bonus point if I'm in my calorie allotment (as determined by my FitBit because I live and die by that thing) because that encourages me to log my calories no matter what. Even if I go over, I am still rewarded by doing the act of keeping a consistent food diary. This could be for other things. "Work out 15 minutes" 1 point, bonus for 30 minutes, or whatever. I also cut myself a break on weekends because lol at being this 'on it' 7 days a week.
Before, I had the points come out to a nice, even 100 and I really liked that. But when I readjusted it only comes out to 90, which is fine, just the Type A in me wanted an even 100. But I also didn't want to add in junk points just to get to it. So make up whatever works for you. Oh, and I adjust it if my schedule changes, days off/vacations/etc. I wouldn't necessarily take everything out just because I'm on vacation, but I shouldn't be punished for not doing chores because I'm not even in the same city at the time. And things like arriving to work on time just don't apply.
So, does it work? I don't know. I'm on week 6 of being back and have attained only one "B" week. Most of the time it's a C, which I guess is average so I'm doing "fine." So far I haven't come up with any reward system because I don't really know why, maybe that would help? I tried thinking okay, if you get an A, you can get a $10 treat, whether it's froyo or a new workout tank (tjmaxx pricing FTW). Get a B it's $5, like Starbucks or whatever.
It goes back and forth between stressful and motivating multiple times a week. Some days I'll bargain with myself, I'm like okay, you don't have to do your chore but you do have to get your stair goal in. Some days I'm just like I'M TRYING MY BEST AND I JUST CAN'T TODAY. Things I notice I don't do a lot are my chores. Because I'll either catch up on all of them on the weekend or just say "the bathroom isn't bad, I can skip this week." Also working out is always an issue, but this week I have been trying to get back into making it a priority. I have seen some improvement, such as flossing and washing my face, two things I was horrible at before and they've now become (almost) routine.

I’m bringing my point system back. It’s time. I’ve been really good at my steps (thanks tumblr fitbit challenges!) and now it’s time to add in the focus on food and workouts. Getting my steps in is great, but that’s really just to maintain, and I am in desperate need of weight loss.
I’ll be making some adjustments to what I had before, I’m taking out a couple things that are routine for me now (or just not plausible, I just don’t get 8 hours of sleep a night) I want to add some thing but I’m kind of stuck as to what is missing.
I’m also making it a goal to do one morning workout. It sounds super lame, but I need to start somewhere.
