hallo! recently i've been running a lowkey weekly+monthly drawing challenge called weekly fish & monthly fish!!
it was primarily run in my discord but ppl told me to post the prompts online too so i will :3
i started this just as a small way to try and get people to draw with me. there's no pressure to do anything spectacular or anything incredibly polished. i just want people to make things for the joy & whimsy of it!! i am proud of anyone who picks up their pen/pencil <3
for this weekly fish, id like to see people draw cute girls!!! tyvm!!!!!!!!!!
feel free to post ur submissions under the tags!! i check them and try to reblog stuff on them regularly :3
It is the morning of 25th October (Tuesday), and as soon as we boot up the game, we get a call from Udo who tells us that our pictures sent to Weekly Fish has been well received. Udo suggests that we take the ultimate photo of Manta Rays which are nocturnal and require some lure to attract them. He leaves it to Dave to figure out what kind of Manta Ray lure to use. Of course we have no idea, unless...
...oh yes, our Biology university student, Ellie would know about ecology. So we call and ask her what Manta Rays eat. She tells us they feed on plankton at night, so we need to drop something that lures Glowing Plankton at night. Apparently, that something is 5 Kelp?...
...Except the 5 Kelp has nothing to do with making the lure, but are just the requirements for Ellie to complete her Ecowatcher mission and gain Eco Points. She used the Kelp as an exchange for the actual plankton lure called a Lure Capsule, which we have no idea what it's made of. Anyway, she tells us to drop the lure in the water to lure all the plankton in the area.
We report back to Udo who tells us he will get ready the Manta Ray photo set-up within the next few days and contact us again.
Next, we pop into iDiver to upgrade our Air Tank capacity from Level 6 (265 Bar) to Level 7 (315 Bar) for 3,000 gold. This would hopefully make Dave's upcoming fights easier to tank and withstand hits.
With the new Diving Gloves Dr. Bacon gifted us, we are now able to pick up Purple Sea Urchins which were previously too spiky and hurt Dave's hands. Now we can make Purple Sea Urchin Sushi, or "Uni" in Japanese.
Our morning dive, Dive No. 52 saw us battle the Sailfish and Marlin using our Tranquilliser Rifle since there was no Steel Net Sensor Trap sold in the Cobra Shop this morning... We put both these large fish to sleep before droning them away.
There still wasn't any Limestone Cave generated on this dive, so we couldn't complete the Ecowatcher mission that wants us to take out 10 White Spotted Jellyfish. However, we got something new - the Purple Sea Urchin and its Roe, which is orange in colour.
Meanwhile, we complete 2 Ecowatcher missions for 80 Eco Points - the "Research Starfish 3" and "Research Shell 3" missions.
In preparation for our afternoon dive, we craft the Quattro Axel I, the upgraded version of the Triple Axel, which can fire 4 shots at once with slightly more damage. We immediately equip the Quattro Axel I.
In the Blue Hole Depths, Dave is trying to complete Maki's "Catch Clione" sub-mission, which requires him to capture 5 Clione using the Bug Net. When we were catching the 4th Clione, something weird and big swims past in the background...
...Oh no.
