Leaving their friends to calm down the Priest, some of the party go back to the village to get supplies for the trip to Vallaki. Down a side street they notice the old peddler woman putting a large sack onto her cart and a few of the adventurers notice that it’s moving. Fearing the worst they rush to investigate and are soon locked in battle against what turns out to be a Night Hag. Thokk, 1st level Half-Orc Monk with only 10 hit points, leads that charge with his flamboyant Capoeira martial arts and amazingly is able to evade every claw slash and magic ray the Hag (112 hit points) aims at him. The party defeats the monstrous old lady and saves the young boy she had stuffed in her sack. Thokk helps himself to the delicious pies she had on her cart. Meanwhile Melgron finally finishes climbing up to the castle and enters the courtyard were a shaggy black form rushes out at him. Not to be outdone the Zombie Halfling draws his hand axe and charges the beast and the two proceed to tear each other apart. Running low on hit points the halfling scores a  critical hit and defeats the Dire Wolf just in time.
