congrats on completing your practical exams~ :) may i ask where you read my roommate is a gumiho? and have you finished yumi's cells alr? thoughts? it's been on my to-read list for awhile ty♡♡
Heyy anon! Thankss, it’s been an awfully long and tiring week of exams loll I rlly need a break but it appears that my school won’t give me any 😭 Anyways, I read my roommate is a gumiho on naver webtoon lol, idk if u can find the translated version in google but I just decided to sorta practice my Korean and read it! (w the help of google translate, ofc) Yumi’s Cells was quite fun, I binge read like 100 eps loll, but then I didn’t finish it cause I was too late and now u have to use daily pass for it, so unfortunately I stopped after eps 140 😭 will def binge read it again later tho.
Also I’m not sure what’s on ur to-read list but I’m just gonna recommend both lmao. Yumi’s cells is pretty self-explanatory, it is a comic about the life of this woman named Yumi, and she encounters different scenarios and her cells react for her! It’s like as if we’re seeing inside her brain loll, a really fun and light-hearted comic to read, and it’s very humorous as well. Really great if u want to read short comics that don’t have a heavy plot (because one episode only has several panels so you can read a lot of eps in just a short time).
And for my roommate is a gumiho, it might easily be one of my faves! Story about this gumiho (Shin Woo Yeo) who has lived for 999 years and is about to turn human, but then a human (Lee Dam) accidentally swallowed his marble. Because of it, they have to live together now. It’s the basic kdrama trope of human falling in love with an immortal being, and also people-who-have-nothing-to-do-with-each-other-ended-up-having-to-live-together trope. I can’t say much about the romance just yet, but so far it made me laugh several times lol. The only downside to this tho is that they don’t have it on english webtoon, so you can only read it on naver/korean webtoon although it’s already finished. For both of these webtoons, although their art styles are very simple, the plot is just soo gooddd, totes recommend both 👍🏻
