“ this city’s sort of a mess . ” messier than hawkins , anyway , which was enough to throw her for a loop . it hadn’t been long since she’d arrived here –– very well could be that a matter of time was all that stood between her and a comfortable routine here . but one thing she certainly didn’t mind was the anonymity . couldn’t walk a single step back home without recognizing someone . here it was a little less suffocating . MESS meant something kind , apparent by a soft & admiring smile as she turned her head to glance down a semi - crowded subway car before landing back on the girl in front of her . “ hey , you know what stop to get off at , right ? i’ve ––– still got no idea , honestly , so –––– ”
