the urge to go back to college and get my degree in meteorology is immense but unfortunately i have not solved a math problem in years </3

#TAG RAMBLE DUMP INCOMING SORRY!!!#i went for computer science in 2019 but then covid happened and i tried to get back in for virtual semesters too late so that dream died #but again the current state of the game dev career (what i was going for) is very concerning anyway so :))))#however my second option was meteorology back then if that didnt work out and okay yes it didnt work out but under different circumstances #so i just never went back #but i may get free tuition at the local college since my fiance is an air force veteran and we get married in late september #and he brought that up after i dragged him out storm chasing yesterday and im like hmmmmm yes this is an option #i used to do fake weather forecasts on the wii for my family and wanted to be a 'weatherwoman'#but idk if i'd ever wanna be the local weather gal on tv or anything like i used to...bc nerves.#which is so funny bc ive been a full time partnered twitch streamer for 5 years but #im a hobby storm chaser as well and its really fun but like im just thinking 'how can i actually turn this into a career'#like ive had this hobby for over 20 years but moving to the midwest has really let me get me hands-on with it and god its exhilarating #the storm chase part of the hobby not so much. living at the jersey shore its just kinda eh. bad terrain overall. lots of forests in nj #you just go to the beach and hope to see a waterspout as storms move out #2 years in southern wisconsin and FLAT FARMLAND!!!! followed this storm from janesville, WI to sycamore, IL!

was the only successful storm out of the other 3+ attempted initiations that kept baiting me, and was severe warned for a while. super good lightning show as well!!

#that video was moments after i looked directly up after admiring a nearby lowering and i audibly went 'oh shit'#due to the angle i couldn’t tell if it was just rotating scud or an actual attempt at a funnel (which didn’t form) but alas #i have been driving all over southern wisconsin since 11am chasing storms and this one was my favorite #one outran me in kenosha >:( and then when i went home to Janesville another storm came to kenosha >:(#weather rambles #irl rambles #will i get my tornado photo before the end of the season? who knows anymore #wx: mine
