I want to say the opposite for super and GT because it’s supposed to be a continuation of canon, so it SHOULD suit the series and be written to at least the same quality of the original series, but it came so much later and caters to such a specific subset of fans that it truly is fan service. Unfortunately, I think super is the opposite of fun, and also poorly written in a lot of areas, so it loses in the every way ejdkdkkdf

All of the side-series and spin-offs are definitely fan service, and SHOULD BE. If they’re not fun there is literally 0 point.
