what are your lucrefalda/wealthhowler headcanons?
Ooh! I don't think I've ever gotten one of these types of asks before!
Mafalda Hopkirk and Lucretia Sallow (Fawley) are both in Slytherin, and they share a dorm with Pandora Lestrange and Dolores Umbridge, fifth dormmate undecided.
Mafalda calls her Lucky, short for Lucretia, and then she later found out that Lucretia collects clovers, and finds a lot of four leaves and even a couple five leaves, so the nickname stuck even more.
Mafalda collects stamps, so for every birthday Lucretia buys her a pack of unique ones.
People generally used to regard Mafalda as kind of off-putting, because she wasn't very emotive and she was very quiet, and Lucretia was one of the first people to befriend her (alongside Pandora).
They take several years to end up dating, because they were very much the "we're just super good friends and these are totally normal amounts of love to feel for a friend" type of couple.
Lucretia's father is obviously meant to be Albert Sallow (although maybe that's not obvious), who is an Unspeakable, and I picture them having a somewhat unemotional relationship and Mafalda is surprised when she meets Lucretia's family and sees that her parents are so unemotional.
Mafalda drank five coffees a day during exam preparation, and Lucretia would do her hair while she studied.
Lucretia is the "oh I didn't even look at my notes and I got all O's" type of student, and Mafalda wants to strangle her for it.
They do picnic dates, and while Mafalda isn't as outdoorsy as the rest of her friends, she does enjoy nature from afar.
Mafalda never ended up joining the Order like Lucretia, too scared to fight back in that way, but did fully support her for doing so. Greatly important since Lucretia's parents thought it was a wasted endeavour. Marshall Fawley would definitely still be a big support as well, even if not dating in this AU.
When Mafalda is accosted and Hermione polyjuices into her, Lucretia initially began investigating it to figure things out, but when she found out it was the golden trio she confronted Mafalda and let her know the full situation.
Lucretia eventually dies in the Battle of Hogwarts, and Mafalda is very heartbroken, but keeps a few of Lucretia's pressed clovers as a momento.
