*friend smacks my leg* "Do it harder"

I have a lot of reasons for why I really don’t think this worked. I was on the fence back then and now I can see for sure that it’s just like... yeah, no. 

How strange is it that someone you used to call “one of my best friends” and “forever” now only gets a simple “Happy Birthday!” on their Facebook wall once a year? Is that all we were worth? Is that really what our promises of “forever” and our declarations of “You understand me more than any friend ever has.” built up to? One message as if we were strangers to each other? A friendship that blossomed so quickly, faded even faster. I guess we weren’t the people we thought each other to be after all.
