What Design Can Do ‘2016
My friend Liisa Roll and I went to Amsterdam to volunteer for What Design Can Do design conference.
We were there the day before to help with the setting up. The venue, at the Musikgebouw in Central Amsterdam was a beautiful venue. We got to see a lot of the shows and some really interesting talks.
Some of my favourite talks included Marcus Lyall, and his music experience design as well as Geek van Dijk from STBY (standby) studio, where they look at researching and helping social issues.
It was really great to learn a little dutch and watch some talks whilst helping out with such a great conference,
We also attended a break out session organised by Arjowiggens, where we got to learn to be ‘paper sommeliers’. It was amazing to see the amount of time and care taken into choosing the correct paper for every individual need.
