What are your future career goals?

Wenn eine Karriere in Glück möglich wäre, hätte ich schon eine einfache Antwort dafür. Weil ich wirklich keine Ahnung davon habe. Und bitte glaub mir, dass es nicht einfach ist. Ich wollte wissen, was ich beruflich machen würde. Andererseits habe ich keine Angst davor, dass meine Zukunft ein totales Geheimnis ist, sogar für mich. Es ist überhaupt nicht ideal, dass ich keinem geraden Weg folgen kann, aber das macht mich frei, um neue und verschiedene Dinge zu versuchen und auch zu lernen. Und dafür daran habe ich viel Interesse, weil es viele Berufe und Fähigkeiten gibt, die ich gerne lernen möchte, und auch persönliche Ziele, die ich gerne erreichen möchte. Oder wie meine Mutter immer sagt, dass die ich lernen und erreichen werde. Jedenfalls ist es klar, dass ich nicht so entschlossen bin, wie damals als Kind. Ich wollte nur Biologie studieren und alles über Vögel wissen. 

WCJ reached into the box of pictures she was looking through,”Aha! I knew I had a picture of us!” She exclaimed holding up an old picture.

Luke went over and looked as she put it down on the table, smiling.

The photo had a baby Luke confused at the camera flash, he was wearing a purple shirt, that had pink sparkles and in soft blue with a hot pink outline where the words ‘#1 homo’ on it, he was also wearing purple pants.

“Really s- Mom, why was I wearing purple?”

“You liked it.”

“And the shirt?”

“Blame your Aunt the president.”

“Do I even want to know?”

“She always thought I was going to be a lesbian, and when I came home with a crying baby asking my dad how to fill out the paperwork, she assumed you would be the gay one, so she made it for you.”

“How correct she was on that one.”

They both Laughed and she put the picture back in the box.

“That was taken 2 months before I left you, and I don’t want you to think that I left you cause I don’t love you, I was 16 years old, I had a lot on plate and I made a stupid decision. You are my son, my flesh and blood, I could never not love you.” Luke Hugged WCJ.

“I understand, I just wish you told me sooner.”

“If we are being honest, I never planned on telling you, but you can thank your grandpa for you knowing the truth.”

“Hey mom, can I ask you a question about my dad?”

“Um, Go ahead.”

“Does he know about me?”

“That’s a tough one to answer, short answer is no, he doesn’t, and we need to sit down and talk without either of us getting angry.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah…Want pizza for dinner?”
