"Aaron!" At the sound of his father's voice, Aaron took his headphones and pushed them to his pockets, pushing the drawing he had been working on aside and mentally prepared himself for the moment his father came here. Immediately after finishing the thought, Cyrus pushed the door open and walked inside, holding a letter in his hand.

"How on Earth did you not check the mail, Aaron?" It was easy to see that the man was too excited to actually be angry at him, so Aaron just forced a smile to his lips, knowing it was a waste of time to start talking; his father would fill the silence soon anyway. "Anyway, my son, look who sent you a letter." Cyrus continued talking and handed him the letter, the widest smile on his lips. Aaron took it, his heart skipping a beat as he saw who had sent it. It was from Brown, one of the universities he really needed to get into if he wanted to enroll to the program he really wanted. 

Slowly, hands slightly shaking, Aaron tore the envelope open, throwing it aside as soon as he had taken the actual letter out of it. The outside world seemed to fade away as his eyes tried to find the one line in the letter that was more important than anything else. "We are very delighted to inform you that after reviewing your application, The Admissions Committee of Brown University has decided to offer you a place..." It took a moment before the reality really hit him. He had been accepted to Brown. He was now one step closer to being accepted to the Dual Degree Program. He had been accepted to one of the two schools he had really wanted to attend. 

"Well, what did they say?" His father asked, his voice sounding impatient, curious and excited. Aaron tore his gaze away from the letter and looked into his father's eyes, trying to find the right words to describe what he was feeling. "I got in." He simply said, a smile settling itself onto his lips and a laugh threatening to come out of his mouth. "I was accepted." Cyrus clapped his hands together and leaned forward to hug his son. "I knew you would make it, I knew it." He repeated as he pulled away, immediately making his way out of the room. "We'll celebrate tonight because my son was accepted to Brown!" Even though Cyrus had left the room, Aaron could still hear his voice as he began to order their maids and tell them to get the best possible food because good was 'not enough' for this occasion - it needed to be the best.
