The Murder of Tiffany Taylor
Tiffany Taylor was a 16-year-old girl from Brisbane. Tiffany’s mother described her as smart and ‘beyond her years.’ Tiffany moved out of her family home when she was 12, though her mother stated they remained close. At the time of her disappearance in 2015, Tiffany found out she was pregnant and was using a social networking site to meet up with men to exchange sex for money in a desperate attempt to support herself.
Tiffany was last seen on 12th July 2015 leaving the motel to meet with Rodney Wayne Williams, 68, after the pair had met online and Williams had arranged to pay her $500 for sex. Despite previously replying to thousands of messages a day, Tiffany suddenly stopped responding and using her phone altogether, her boyfriend reported her missing. The court heard Tiffany was confident in demanding money from men who refused to pay her and had threatened several customers before.
Tiffany’s blood was found in Williams’ car on the passenger seat and the gearstick, he also claimed despite messages clearly indicating his motives that he had not had not met Tiffany for sex and that Tiffany had been interested in him. Williams also changed his story multiple times after being accused of lying when he claimed Tiffany had just jumped out of his car at a red light. His mobile phone was also found to have been at the same place as Tiffany’s phone at a time when he denied being with her. Williams also had a prior conviction for a murder in Tasmania in 1978 and had been found guilty of indecently assaulted a teenager in 1994. Williams was convicted of Tiffany’s murder and sentenced to life in prison.
Despite Tiffany’s mother making a heartfelt appeal to Williams to reveal the location, Tiffany’s body has never been found.

Do after watching Mindhunter my interest was peaked in the Atlanta child murders. I’m almost don’t with the HBO documentary and have another one to watch. So far I feel that Williams did some based on the green fibers, dog hair, and other little things. I also believe based on the MO that there were other killers as well. I feel that they were done by serial killers, some could have possibly been committed by the clan but due to the dumping of one bodies being done away from the public I lean towards serial killers. The kkk likes to put their work in the public. I’m interested in what other people might think.
Mindhunter season 2 finale really went the Lemony-Snicket-A-Series-of-Unfortunate-Events-The-End route with “some mysteries will never be solved”
I’m glad that Mindhunter covered the Atlanta Child Murders this season and ESPECIALLY glad they highlighted the city’s racism and bullshit when it came to actually investigating the case
What I don’t like is that they didn’t really cover the individual cases closely enough to make a case for whether Wayne Williams did it. Like duh I know it’s not a documentary, but we ALL know the power of pop culture, and the amount of doubt they left troubles me and just fuels all the conspiracy theories
FWIW, I don’t believe he killed all of them. The two little girls, especially. One was kidnapped from her bedroom; that’s not Wayne Williams. I do think he killed most if not all of the little boys.
I hate that they only charged him for the 2 adult men and so many of the parents feel like they still haven’t gotten justice for their children.
It also makes me sad that the police/city response would honestly be much the same today in any city in America (except Atlanta, but ONLY bc of the history) if a bunch of Black children went missing/were found murdered. How far we’ve NOT come.
